He's not the first QB with that play style. Fran Tarkenton, Eddie LeBaron, Steve Young when he was younger, Randal Cunningham, Michael Vick, Russell Wilson to a large degree. Kyler's #1 problem is scoring through the air. Once he figures that out (and will probably need top WRs to do it) people will see his potential. He's getting better.

In today's NFL you have to be able to read coverages. People like early Cam Newton, pre jail Michael Vick, Kyle Boller, early Rich Gannon and a handful of others had enough talent to keep a job without reading a defense. To succeed now, reading a defense is mandatory. Kyler's talent is other worldly but it does appear the league is beginning to catch up with him. Despite having a decent group of receivers(especially with D-Hop back), his numbers so far this year indicate some regression.
