I designed his costumes for Sordid Wedding and dressed him during the shoot of the movie , and I can assure you this is what he is like 24/7. It was a never ending comedy routine what was called “life of Leslie”. He had us in stitches all day long. He was an absolute doll, the production crew and the whole cast of the movie were so much fun to work with.

Aww thank you for sharing this story! Leslie definitely seems like he has an innate gift for storytelling, and is effortlessly funny.. I remember first seeing him in Will & Grace, and I was always so excited when he appeared. ^_^ I have to check out A Very Sordid Wedding as well! Also, this is a bit unrelated Mr. Jongbloed, but since you mentioned you worked on that movie, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask: what advice would you give to someone looking to go into tv/film? How did you yourself get started? I'm hoping to transition to working behind the scenes in production, though it's sometimes tough to know where to even start. If you have any advice/insight to share, it would be most appreciated!! Thank you!! 🙏🏼✨

A few years ago I ran into him in Mexico. He was swishing down the sidewalk with 2 paper bags full of groceries, one in each arm. As I passed I noticed it was him. I kinda freaked out and said “Mr. Jordan!” He twirled around and said “Hi?!” I didn’t know what to say, so I asked if he would take a picture with me. With the kindest smile and without hesitation he put the groceries on the floor and posed for a selfie with me. That year I was in a soul-searching trip after being laid off, dumped in a relationship, and losing my mother all within the previous few months. Meeting Leslie Jordan made me smile for the first time that day. A year later he was in town doing his one-man show. So I printed the picture, put on my one pair of Dolce flower pants in his honor and headed to the show. He was equally kind and charming chatting with everyone after the show. He noticed me in the crowd because of my pants and joked he wanted them but probably wouldn’t fit. With the same lack of hesitation he signed the picture and added that I now have priority because evidently I was an old friend. My life has turned back around since. The autographed picture is prominently displayed in a flower frame in my living room. I think some people are angels on this planet who, with their mere presence and in the darkest of times, just light up the world around them and make everyone happy. Thank you Leslie Jordan!

R-He's a 65-year-old man, not a child. Personally, I feel there are more flattering ways to speak of this actor than "adorable". I may be a bit sensitive on this subject? Because I am a petite woman, & in my younger days I was called, "very pretty", & "sexy" for decades. Now IF anyone says: "You are adorable!" It feels like a backhanded compliment. Really meaning to insult me. I'm just suggesting you use different ways to say you like a person of smaller stature. But, IF Mr. Jordan doesn't care? WHY SHOULD I?
