Just like Paul was the most beloved Beatle, Les Mckeown is the most beloved Bay City Roller. I know there are some that would dispute that, but Leslie was definitely the front man of the band. I was mad for the Bay City Rollers as a teenager. If I heard they would be appearing on a daytime talk show, I'd play sick from school to stay home and watch because back in the day, we couldn't record shows or DVR them--if you missed it, you missed it. I think the year I was 13--14 years old; I bought every teen magazine on the planet that had pictures of them. I redecorated my room with plaid drapes and a matching bedspread and plastered their pictures all over my walls. It was such a sweet, innocent time in my life that I remember very fondly.

I will never forget the excitement seeing these guys on top of the pops, being scottish myself I was a huge fan!!!! I remember my friend sister was older had tje money to buy the first album!!!! Listened to it and danced, cdreams of Les and Alan!!!! Great guy and was lovely to the fans!!!! Gone way to soon I thi k!!! RiP

Thank you for this beautiful tribute to Les, what an amazing collection of photos. He was truly adored by so many fans for almost 50 years. Visited London on the first anniversary of his death and gathered with a group of loyal fans at his memorial bench in Hackney Downs. His beautiful wife Peko and son Jubei joined us, they are kind and loving people, always so generous with their time for us fans. May he rest in peace with his parents and bandmates Alan and Ian. Gone but never forgotten ❤️

レスリーが亡くなって今日、一周忌だね。 レスリーがこんなにも早く逝くなんて 思ってなかった。 松田聖子の (桜の園)の歌詞に散り急いだって、歌聞いた時、レスリーと重なって 涙が出たよ。🌸 早い、もう一年たつなんて 寂しいね。😢 幼少期の写真から今迄の姿を見せてくれて ありがとう。💐

みさ子さん、そうだね｡ レスリーは､ファンを笑わせたり楽しませる事が大好きで､いつもサ―ビス精神に溢れていたね✨ そしてオ―ラがあって魅力的な人でした✨ 聖子さんの[桜の園]は､悲しい歌だよね。レスリーと重なる💙 そして沙也加ちゃんも……… 35歳､若すぎる…… 聖子さんの気持ちを考えると､辛い😭 20年以上前から聖子さんのコンサートは毎年行ってるの｡そこで沙也加ちゃんも一緒にステージで歌ってたから､とてもショックだった｡ 人の命も散りゆく桜と同じ儚いね💙💚💙 自分なりの死生観を持てるようになったかも…………

Never knew him was a baby in his heyday but my looking at him was he was a mighty and astoundingly handsome man. He appeared to be very sweet in his interviews. Would love to have met him in real life. Good rest your soul Mr. Keown
