Agree that an apology is meaningless if no initiative for correction. Hurt people, hurt people. The world needs Jesus.

Wow... A friend told me about you and ever since i have been listening to your videos you have helped me so much!! You are truly gifted in how you word everything and you also back it all up with scripture. So many pastors are so legalistic with these types of issues but the things you say and how it relates to scripture is really opening my eyes!

I agree Leslie. This applies to women and men equally as we all fall short of the glory of God. I absolutely treasure your book "How to Act Right when your Spouse Acts wrong" and study it everyday over and over. Will have to get your latest book!

You can repay for the damages by listening , validating the hurt person, and being committed to changing … which is all free 😉

Am seeking God on what I should do concerning my false form five certificate which I got from our ministry of education offices through a bribe in exchange for better one with good results in the subjects I had failed in my original certificate. This happened over 40 years ago when I was young.. I used the false certificate to go the university and studied for 4years and I got a degree. Then 20 years ago i relocated from my country and staying in another country. Am 67 years old and retired . I realised that what I did was a sin when I became born again. What should i do cos am far from my nation .Pls advice me.

I personally think that there are some things that you cannot undo but because you are born again in Christ, the new person that you are should not indulge in any ways similar to what you had done. Pray and confess all to Christ and ask Him to open the doors and guide you in the path that He wants you to take. Believe that He has paid the price and forgiven you. Jesus told the woman who was caught in adultery to "Go and sin no more" John 8:11. He did not expect her to go to each person and ask for forgiveness. In the New Testament Paul says "Let him who stole, steal no more." (Ephesians 4:28). When we get up from confession we should not indulge in any thoughts or actions that Christ has released us from. It may be hard - like alcohol abuse or short tempers - or it may be easy - like never getting into fraud again. Whatever it is, it is only Christ who can forgive us and make us whole again. Let go and Let God have His way! May God bless you.

What if the sin you caused is something the victim doesn't know was done. Like you stole something of the victims but there not aware and they think you can be trusted. Do you confess this sin to the victim or a minister?
@marshawebb67313 жыл бұрын
Yes my brother, all secret sin should be confessed and revealed. The Lord Jesus will give you mercy. Psalm 85:10. His word says once we confess our sins he is willing and just to forgive.

Zacheus was a cheif tax collector. He was filthy rich. He was in a position where, if he wanted to, he could have charged people for more taxes than were owed because tax collectors did this so commonly that it was virtually built into the system of tax collecting, to take more than what was owed, which is why tax collectors were despised by the population. Zachaus seemed to tell Jesus that he was already in the habit of returning money four-fold if he defrauded anyone, which, being a Jew, he did in obedience to Jewish law. To me, this is not setting some precident for future Gentile believers in The New Testament, to act in the the very same way as Zachaus, who was under the law. A Gentile's salvation is totally based on faith in Jesus and His sacrifice rather than the law, which can justify no man (Galatians 2:16). We are not to follow the letter of the law. () We are not under the law. True beleivers are filled with The Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth, Christ living in us. Some people go down a checklist trying to "right" old wrongs even with people who have been out of their lives for many years. Where does the Bible teach that practice? I mean, that's fine if that is their wish to do so. But I do not recall the Apostle Paul spending the rest of his life, after he was converted, tracking down the many families of believers whom Paul drug out of their homes, leading them, in chains, to their torture and deaths... finding their families to pay restitution to them... or even to say he was sorry to them. No, he *immediately* began preaching the gospel. (Acts 9:20) That was His proof of change, his proof of repentance. The message in The New Testament is, "Let him who stole steal no more." (Ephesians 4:28) You can't take verse after verse out of context as this woman in the video has done, to try to prove that The New Testament teaches what it doesn't teach. Of course if I had dognapped my neighbor's bull dog and then came to faith in Christ, I would do the right thing and give the dog back, buy my neighbor a few bags of dog food (for the dog), maybe a new dog bed and would apologize. But should we follow the letter of the Old Testament law, which means Christ died for nothing (Galatians 2:21 ) and give the guy 4 or 5 extra bull dogs to make up for our misdeed? I mean, that's what Zachaus wiould have done... right?

Restitution is really confusing. I have a question. If you lie to someone, let’s say you lie to your parents about being sick and it got them really worried and seeing that alone made you feel bad and immediately you stopped the pretense and everyone was fine afterwards. After asking God for forgiveness please is it compulsory to tell your parents, if you don’t does it mean God won’t forgive you??.

God is ready and willing to forgive us but we don't receive the fruit of His forgiveness when we are not repentant (willing to now learn how to do right and make restitution and change our ways to stop doing the harm to others, our relationship and and ourselves.... but it IS a process, it takes time...)
@korygilbert41683 жыл бұрын
Restitution is not a barrier for salvation and forgiveness. Make restitution whenever possible, but Jesus made the ultimate restitution for our sins on the cross.
