I'm a retired Army veteran, I'll never forget the sacrifices my military brother made before or after me, from the battles in the American civil war to the battles in Iraq and Afghanistan every US soldier has sacrificed and some have given their lives for freedom.

Memorial day is the day we're supposed to think about, remember, and honor those who have paid the ultimate price for us and our country. We might all be different and hate each other sometimes, but for the most part, we have a very decent place to exist and live.

I bowled with a bunch of veterans some 25 years ago. I listened as they opened up about their experiences during the war. One man, Jerry was a B17 pilot who was shot down in 44 and spent the rest of the war as a POW. Jerry was nearly blind but that did not stop him from bowling or living. I say thanks to all of the fighting men and women who have served our country.

As A Combat Veteran myself, It's very Sad to notice how almost for the better part my Nation observes this Day, and Pay Homage to our Veterans! I'm a Patriot, I Love My Country! But Hate What my Government has become, a Bunch of Selfish Adults whom think they have the best way for them To invest the tax payer money that pay their Salaries, to receive the best returns on insider nonverbal trading, they are not committing! Homeless Vets are treated like Fourth class citizens, Illegal imagrants have more advantages, and are given more assistance that our Veterans that have already sacrificed for all of us.😮😢

Yes, they do get it, which is precisely why they say "Happy" Memorial Day. It's a reminder to not just head off to the lake, but to remember all of those people and the unimaginable sacrifice to ensure their family, friends, and everyone of this nation may continue to appreciate life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness as stated in the Declaration of Independence. Yes, it's a time of quiet reflection, hard as it is for so many of the living, but it is also a time to celebrate the servicemen & women's lives with gratitude and happiness because for one, who doesn't enjoy a good party - especially those in service. It's hard to think of anyone who deserves happiness more than those servicemen & women, and for us to give positive energy to their souls to know they didn't give their lives in vain. Anyway, I for one intend to remember, pray for, and celebrate every last one of them to bring that energy of joy to their souls. They deserve it. They had enough misery. It is a time to bring them the happiness they so rightfully deserve.

AMERICAN SOLDIER = PAST & NOW ** Throughout man’s past as a creature of earth War has always plagued his expectance. Greed, hate, fear, envy and rage Have overruled rapture and repentance. David was a soldier who lived by his faith Which gave him the will to become brave. He stood up to terror and toppled the giant Leaving Goliath headless and alone in his grave. David’s call thrives in hearts of soldiers today Shielding liberty from the warmongers of hell. Facing down evil refusing to summit Ensuring freedom and justice are alive and well. Those of us blessed by the safety of home Must remember the sacrifice of the few. Run up your flag and show your support For the heroes of the red, white and blue. It’s not a priest who gives us freedom of religion, It’s not a reporter who give us freedom of voice. It’s not any judge, lawyer, politician, preacher or teacher But the blood of a soldier that has sacrificed by choice. By Tom Zart! Most Published Poet On The Web!

Cities like Albany Ga need to be careful of crime during Memorial Day Weekend and police departments need to take reports made by citizens very serious.

It is not self-evident that you live in freedom in America, without these heroes who gave their lives, America would have been defected or taken by the enemy long ago. The enemy has existed throughout humanity and always will. And if these heroes/Alpha people in the Defense Department are no longer there, things will look very bleak for America. So honor and respect these people who gave their lives and who fight for America ❤🤍 💙 Because the enemy will ALWAYS exist. Lots of greetings and respect from the Netherlands 🧡🧡

“ In Flanders fields the poppies blow between the crosses row on row that mark our place and in the sky the larks still bravely singing fly scarce heard amid the guns below We are the dead, short days ago we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow loved and were loved and now we lie in Flanders fields Take up our quarrel with the foe from falling hands to thee we throw this torch be yours to carry high If ye break faith with us who die we shall not sleep though poppies grow in Flanders fields”.
