I hate to say it, but I suspect that Sakura gets fewer lines by choice. There have been SO many Encore stage controversies these past two years that basically ruined the careers of idols, and Sakura herself mentioned in the past that she was stressed out about her weak vocals. It seems like she's working really hard on improving, but I think that she's just trying not to get cancelled until she's able to train her vocals more. I think that we'll get to see more of her once she feels confident in her vocals!

For the less lines part, She gets less lines because she, herself doesn’t feel confident to have more lines yet because she knows she will get hate, but she finally has proper vocal training in Source Music that Wakeone never gave her in her time as Izone, and so hopefully she can get better and give us a good vocal performance. She probably talked to her parents about it and they (her parents) probably let her pursue the career if she can take the pressure. She was GROOMED into an idol, even at her current age (let alone the age she began her training) she is too young so CANNOT give informed consent. Which is why no under 18s should be debuting - if they’re too young to legally sign their own contract and agree to all of the demands of being an idol, they cannot consent or choose themselves.

Nope. You can see videos of her from before she debuted of her saying how she wanted to be a K-pop idol. You can also see how she herself took dance classes because she wanted to improve on her K-pop dancing. Being an idol was her choice and she wanted to be one. I’m sorry, but I disagree with the fact that no one under 18 should debut. I think that rules should be kept so that younger idols don’t have to train for too many hours and that they should have a minimum age for trainees so that they don’t get groomed into it, but learn to love it and develop a talent and skill for it because they want to. 14 is old enough to have dreams and know what they want to do in life. I'm not saying she shouldn't have a vocal opinion about her career choice but ultimately it should be her parents responsibility to make the decision because she doesn't have the capacity to make an informed decision about her future or fully understand the impact of starting work (in the public eye) early. I think adolescence/puberty is quite a vulnerable time developmentally and I'm worried about the impact on their self-esteem, work/life balance, ability to make and maintain relationships etc.

Literally BoA is notorious for being the idol that debuted at the age 13, Shinee’s Taemin debuted at 14 and even Jungkook debuted at 15. There are many more idols that debuted at a young age and yet nobody showed concerns about their age. If anything every idol that has debuted at a young age has grown to make it big in the industry. I understand the implications that younger idols won’t be able to enjoy their teenage years if they debut early on but they’re not infants, they have a mind of their own. I think Dahyun is where she is supposed to be, she is not unnoticeable, and she is good in twice. And i get you’re concerned about a 15 y/o in the kpop industry, but it was her decision, and as a minor, I believe children has every right to follow their dream as much as adults

No it wasn't her decision without the company's approval how can they debut. They should at the very least let her be 17 or something she is way to young for jobs like kpop idols where they get sexualised. Yeah they also shouldn't give up on their dreams but waiting for a few more years wouldn't be anyone's loss she can fulfil her dream even when she is a bit older right.

I agree with you for Twice, however I do feel JYP should work better production and lines distribution. We being Once know how much Dahyun is treasured, its annoying such videos title something about this idol should "leave" when they don't know their struggles. Hopefully, JYP will work on Line distribution tho! That being said, about you saying a 15y/o should go for what they want to do, if its their decision. Completely agree. But there should be age restriction as well as strict guardian consent. I dont really know the age at which in SK its normal. But 15 seems very young, and hold on, its not because of the person but because of the society. We already know KPop idols do have some creepy people pretending to be fans & some incidents proving that. I feel this should be a reason why the debut age should have some barrier, to protect the kid. At the teen age their brains are still developing, ofcourse they can take decisions, but the experience of life is yet not received. Its really good idea for age restriction.

I’m an Once and I’m sure that Dahyun is always a shinny star to us. Even though she doesn’t get much good rap these days but she shines a lot in those eras. Her voice is just chef’s kiss that will always make people to pay attention to her. Anyway, a rhythmless rap doesn’t mean it’s a bad rap 😢. Her rap part in Set me free is so catchy that lives in my mind rent free. I sing her part almost like every day. So pls don’t just look at dahyun and give opinions, you should look at Twice, you should think that every member has their own important role and everyone has their own spotlight in the song. A group needs all of the members to create a song, so if you are a Kpop stan, you shouldn’t say that any idol should leave or not. Twice should always be ot9, not ot8! No nayeon, no jeongyeon, no momo, no sana, no jihyo, no mina, no dahyun, no chaeyoung, no tzuyu, NO TWICE! Jyp treats dahyun well too. (No hate to any idol or the creator)

yeah I’m pretty sure some people are missing the point- the creator wants the members to leave their groups so they can show off their own talents and not be mistreated like such. e.g. a group is focussed more on rapping, so the vocalists don’t get much attention. therefore, they could fit in a group like red velvet or sumn. we know they trained hard excruciatingly hard, that’s why the skill should be put to use correctly, by joining a better group/company. imagine learning piano for 10 years to be put in a heavy metal band, focusing on like drums or guitar 😭😭 I don’t wanna offend anybody, this is just what I think

I didn't see anyone mentioning Yujin so I will. Yujin debuted again, as a rookie group, after working for many years in an amazing idol group that never got any recognition. I'm sure she doesn't expect to be treated any differently because of her history. Also the group's concepts are very different. Kepler is doing very well so I have no doubt Yujin is very grateful to be in a group that not only does she deserve to be in, but also that is gaining more public recognition than her former group ever did. I love Yujin, I'm so proud of her and I'm glad she's doing well and shining in her own spot. ❤
