I found your channel and have been binge watching all week!! I’m not caught up yet but getting there! I love watching you guys - real people, real families, the good, the bad and the wonderful! This will be my first full season RVing (bought our first rig at then did last season) and I feel like I’ve made a friend already! Thanks for the laughs, the tears, and the lessons! Keeping you and your family in prayer for continued blessings and safe travels!

Loved the video (just found it) and you have some great ideas. You seem to be young enough to have grown up in the high-tech generation, but I grew up before computers old school style. So although all the electronic apps, gadgets, etc. are great, one should keep in mind how to know info without them. Example: Do research to find the old school ways of predicting weather, knowing directions, having light, water, heat, air sources and more. Not to mention natural medications & first aid as well, OH & how to find, gather & filter water plus build outdoor cooking stoves/ovens. I see you have an entrenching tool (small shovel) which is a GREAT tool to have especially if you have the more modern one with all the additive survival attachments today. The one issued to us was like yours in my early military days. 😉 It did get the job done. Having solar back up power is a good source of energy IF you have sufficient sun too. Put the two together & you can survive on & off grid. Just a little advice from an ol' country girl/military brat, vet, spouse, mom... etc. I WILL survive. lol

Do you have a list somewhere of the items you promoted and their brand names? Like what kind of magnets were you using? I've been warned to keep magnets away from electronics: "a nearby magnet will affect the internal magnetic sensors inside the phone. ... Magnets aren't likely to kill your smartphone, but there's a possibility they'll mess some pretty important aspects up."

Use caution with an electrical adapter. Drawing too much amperage from the camper could blow the circuit. Recommend no A/C.

hi Bruce, I'm going to plug a 25'trailer into my friends barn and live there. She just bought the place-how can I check things out about the right extension cords or whatever is the right thing to use. Thanks--Kate in Az
@BeefNEggs057 Жыл бұрын
You’d just trip the 15-20 amp circuit of the house (no damage - just go flip the breaker back on. If you have a soft start on the AC you can run it. A modern 13.5 btu pulls about 10 amps or 1200 watts. The startup is roughly double that (20 amps) so it will trip a 15 amp (it didn’t trip my 20 amp circuit with AC on low even before the soft start installed). Look in your AC manual for your amps pulled on high and low. Double that for startup and decide whether to install a soft start.
