Excellent! Outstanding way to present a lesson. I'm 65 and fighting cancer. A friend gave me a guitar a year ago to help me through treatment. This lesson was fun and has taken me to another level. Thank You Very Much! Music Heals.

You are awesome. I'm praying for you. I've been through cancer and incurable leukemia and some crap they never figured out. I'm 65. Been playing all My life. Have you noticed that musicians breakup, some die. Some retire. But the ones remaining resurface, merge with the other ones left over. And you have rocker that never die, never say never and never give up. I was told attitude is essential to surviving. Wake up each day with determination. When you get down pick up the guitar. You can't sing the blues if you've never had them. God bless you ❤️😘

I turned 71 eleven days ago. I've had a long life, and I've been to a lot of places. I even visited Sydney during my first trip to Vietnam back in 68. I've always wanted to learn to play the guitar, so I ordered one on the 18th of February. It will be here on the 25th. Since then I've been searching KZbin for help. I don't remember how many lessons I looked at, but it was a bunch. Some of them looked promising. I still wasn't completely comfortable with the ones I found, but I came upon your lesson 3 tonight, and I am very excited about the possibilities. I can't wait to get my guitar, so I can start practicing. I've already been through your first 3 lessons just picking and chording air! LOL!

Me, I want to learn a small handfull of key chords and play a few songs with them, and then add chords and tricks as I go, exactly as you are saying. I'm still working to get to my "moment", but I love singing and music so much, even at my age, I know I will get there. Glad you can be part of that experience!
@GWade12174 жыл бұрын
I’m glad you’ve finally picked that guitar up and motivated to play the music you live. The “moment” ur waiting to happen is a great feeling. You’ll get LOTS of them as u play. Each one u experience results n you actually moving up a level with ur guitar playing. Its obviously important to correctly learn the basics, but it’s equally important for u to put that to the side sometimes and listen to what ur actually playing, and if it’s a song that you love, focus on what the song sounds like and with the specific notes and chords and everything else set aside, try to duplicate ‘the sound’ and you’ll drastically improve quickly. I’ve seen so many people try to directly copy some tabs or chords they’re looking at and not even hearing what they’re actually playing....and like Keith said...be patient...ur first “moment” will hit u soon, and they’ll come quicker the more u get. Most of all, Have fun.

Advice to anyone reading is do NOT expect to actually be able to play the song in one day. You will get frustrated quickly. These are (obviously) very skilled musicians playing who have done this their whole life. You will be better off trying to learn the song over the course of say a week or a few days versus thinking you'll pick it up within one day

I waited so long for the price to come down so I could get the Keith Urban 30 songs in 30 days after it went on sale - but literally, for some reason, I forgot that I could no longer use my wrists and hands. So when it got here I was unable to learn to play the guitar. Quite a time later after someone helped me regain the use of my wrists and hands, I got the DVD set out to try, just to find Disc 1 would not play. I was so bummed about this so went to KZbin to see if someone had uploaded DVD 1 - No, they hadn't. DVD 1 is an important foundation DVD, I really needed it to begin. It was too late to return the set, that period of time had passed. I searched really hard then tried to figure out how to get a hold of the Keith Urban company itself to see if they could help, but couldn't figure out how to get a hold of anyone. I am hoping this is actually the missing Disc 1 of the set so I can now try to learn real guitar - if it isn't and someone has it that will upload it, please upload it, it would help me so much!
