1st John chapter 5:verse 7 and 8. For there are three that bear witness in heaven. The Father, The Word which is Jesus, And the Holy spirit: and these three are ONE. Jesus said I will send you the comforter which is the Holy spirit. The Holy spirit is a spirit being. It's clearly written here.

In the Old Testament they did not use the word Father, but they mostly used, Lord God. Eg. See Solomon's prayer 1 Kings 8:15, 17, 20, 23, 25, 53, Hezekiah's prayer in 2 Kings 19:15 and many more.

The statement that God the Father is not the father of the Son is patently false and unscriptural. It undermines the most fundamental truth of the gospel that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son to die for us - "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him" (1 John 4:9). A campaign is on to undermine the gospel and we should open our eyes and resist it. Abraham would have rather died himself than to kill his Son Isaac. That is what the Father of Christ endured for us. Let us not diminish the extent of the sacrifice that was made to save us.

The trinity doctrine which teaches three persons who are mysteriously one divine being is not the same teaching as the heavenly trio-Father, Son and Holy Spirit-mentioned in Scripture and in the writings of Ellen White. A trio is three persons, three beings. God is the Father of all and is the Source of all being and He is a person, an individual being, not three persons. The Son is of God, begotten of God's own divine substance, and He is the one by whom are all things. The divine Son came to our world and clothed His divine person with the personality of humanity. EGW states that "A divine Spirit dwelt in a temple of flesh." The bible clearly tells us that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God and Spirit of Christ, the omnipresence of the divine Father and divine Son. We have a heavenly trio in God and Christ for Christ has a dual nature, He being both a divine person and a human person. The Spirit of Christ is the Comforter, the Spirit of God's dear Son, a spiritual manifestation of Christ's own Spirit, His divine life. Jesus is the second or last Adam and He was made a quickening Spirit. Christ in you is the hope of glory. The Lord is that Spirit. See also 1 John 2:1 where Jesus is called the advocate or comforter (parakletos). "He united humanity with divinity: a divine spirit dwelt in a temple of flesh. There are many SDA members who do not accept the Trinity doctrine as this is not what the early church taught until much later. I personally believe in the Trinity but do so because I also know that the Godhead is way beyond human understanding and to argue about this causes confusion and frustration among members. ❤

Before He returned to heaven, Jesus told the disciples that He would send them the Holy Spirit and it appears that's when the Spirit came to earth, but the Spirit has always been here from the beginning. Gen. 1:2 "And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters". The Spirit also came upon Samson, Saul and many others.

God the father is resolving some of the lies by Satan concerning Gods character, that he is only interested in controlling his creation, wants only to be worshipped by all, that stern justice is his primary attribute, looking to keep us out of his presence and heaven. By giving all into the hands of Jesus he provides transparency for all his dealings concerning sin and sinners. I just want to say that in Patriarchs and Prophets page 311 Ellen White tells you that Jesus Christ was the one who was in the cloud and The pillar of Fire.. I'm not exactly sure what Derek is trying to say in regards to the incarnation. But he is saying Jesus was in the beginning the word. He was the one who had to stand between the father and Lucifer because He represents the Father to the universe to the angels and to man...To show His Love. From Gen3 onward it is Christ because the Father is the one who is on Trial...the Son is the one who will show who the Father is and His Love for everyone.
