Keith Urban teaching this great blues song. Too cool

I have never been a country music fan simply because of a perception I created in my mind, self induced ignorance. Mr Urban has changed my perspective on the country music world and the people in it. Super cool down to earth guy!

Thank you so much Keith for giving all of this to all of us. From a 66 year old fan. Can’t believe you took the time. To me, just shows the kind of person you are and why we all think the world of you. THANKS!

Awesome! All one needs is the bare skeleton to master any song. I love the way Keith teaches exactly that. The whole song, from the beginning to the end, all we have to do is practice. Thank you Keith.

You should go below the desired note and tune UP to that desired note. It will stay in tune better. Also, I usually tune the 6th string up to a G so that my 5th and 6th strings are the same.

It was part of a DVD instruction series he did. Maybe after he made his fair share over production costs, then maybe he downloaded it to the tube. Or maybe someone else did. For sure though, he appears overall, to be a very good n generous guy.

I remember the first time I heard that on the radio. It had just been released and I was driving my '62 Impala down a Carolina back road. I was 16 and had no idea what a gin-soaked, bar-room queen was being the highly protected child I was back then. So I asked my mom. She said something about fire and the devil and I best behave. But, damn, that riff.

Didn’t Richards take the low E string off of the guitar when playing this specific tuning? I recall reading an interview with him about 25 years ago where he said he did this on his tele for the same reason.
@shawnmanuel98174 жыл бұрын
Yes he does take it off..He said it gets in the way..lol
@tomcoryell4 жыл бұрын
If you play clean, you can leave it on. I have a dedicated Keef guitar and leave the low D on. It’s not a Tele though.
@acooper89104 жыл бұрын
@@tomcoryell The low string gets in the way of a clean chord because it's a fifth below the root and being a bass note it can over dominate the sonic spectrum balance. KR's reasoning is that the bass should be covering those frequencies. I'd also posit that you can't get a proper big sweeping strum going if you're having to dodge the 6th string the whole time.

Yes he did and does.
