Nice job Nate and instructor. I can see from no adverse yaw that he has taught you good dynamic proactive rudder movement to nail the longitudinal axis going straight in the light crosswind. No wind or light crosswind is more difficult to teach longitudinal alignment with rudder only. Solo: tail comes up quicker which is good energy but when mains come off it wants to climb out of ground effect like a more powerful airplane which is bad energy. First landing was a bit fast because when lighter it will fly longer in low ground effect. Good rudder walk, however. Preventing ground loop is much better than reacting to it with rudder jab late. Stayed down in ground effect longer on second takeoff. Good job. Airspeed, and not altitude, is life during all maneuvering flight except landing. Excellent second landing. Just a bit of wing wag on third landing in no wind. Crosswind with side slip technique to maintain longitudinal alignment and counter crosswind with rub belly pat head (no coordination of rudder and aileron) actually helps us learn proper dynamic proactive rudder. No wind doesn't force rudder/aileron separation so wing wagging comes in with adverse yaw. We want to go straight and not turn so absolutely no need for aileron. Rudder only, you have, but laps just a bit (fidget). You will be a good tailwheel pilot. You use rudder properly. Lead rudder in turn and rudder only to bracket target when going straight. We are better when we move. Good job all around. Good job instructor.
