I love JM and this lick is used a lot by him. Did you notice that it is all downward escape picking? As in the pick crosses to a new string always after a downstroke? This makes it much more effortless for the right hand.

Exactly ! It's 99 percent of the time in his licks ! But I am more into Joshua meader these days ! His approach is more relaxed ! It's so so difficult to phrase with just alternate picking in arpeggios! I have seen John use some sweep at times

Ok brother ! The main barrier is not knowing which way of Pickslanting works !! John does all upstrokes whilst crosspicking !! And also for the left hand plz try to play it all legato like I do in the last example of the video ! Cheers !❤️🙏❤️

I appreciate, your lessons are aimed at advanced players but if some one is better, he will come to you tube to learn, he will probably be teaching. Thanks

It’s cool….i dont understand what ur saying tho? What is 1235, 1245? Are u talking scale notes? Like if ur in C, C,D,Eb,G? Then what is 1245 in relation to a C - add2 arpeggio? Or are u talking fingers? Left hand finger patterns? It sounds cool though 👍
