Hi 2nd person singular form of verb lesen is liest. So I wonder if we applied '-s' sound rule.We dropped '-s' in conjugation ending for 2nd person. Same for vergessen--->2nd person singular vergisst essen---->2nd person singular isst They are irregular verbs in present tense because their verb stem changes.Plus their conjugation endings are irregular. Am I right? Stefanie I would be grateful if you check whether my interference above are correct.

Dear Yigitcan, everything you wrote above is absolutely correct and perfectly well explained! You are right that the verbs you mentioned not only have an irregular verb stem but also additionally an irregular conjugation ending that is caused by the s-sound in which their verb stems end.
