As this was a few years ago, this likely won’t be seen, but I was involved in CR for several years but since then I’ve moved to nowhere MT. I have no way to get to a CR meetings as they are too late and I can’t drive in the dark. I’m in the middle of Helena and Great Falls. I moved to be close to my daughter and we are not getting alone. We are both drowning in our own emotional pain unable to find healthy support. I’ve also been unable to find anything mentioned on CR Website as we don’t have very good Internet and I’m not very tech savvy. I would love to have someone to talk to in person, on the phone or emails. Father, hear my plea.

I have a daughter that isn't speaking to me right now. It hurts a lot. A real opportunity to exercise my trust in God! ❤️

It's really difficult and also I don't drive at night either.

8:28- You do realize the point you’re actually making to those that have tried many many many times to devote their lives to God and have him help them with their lives but nothing ever gets better! EVER!!! Right?!? Just saying

Why is this lesson so hard for me? I can barely answer the questions in the book.

18:38- Oh thank goodness! I thought when someone said don’t do something it was because they didn’t want me to do it!?! Now I know it’s only because they want me to do it but for me to not get caught!!! Wow, now I can go crazy and do whatever…….. I hope that sounds very dumb and ignorant! Because that how I feel about what you just said! “When people hear, don’t do something or that they can’t do that that’s all they will want to do” sounds so dumb and ignorant that I swear a 5 year old came up with it!!! Yeah, when I was a kid, a teen and a young adult if I was told I can’t do something or I shouldn’t do something and I was given a good reason why not, I didn’t do it! I guess I’m just weird!?! Unless the reason behind it is dumb and I actually want it then maybe I’d do it! Yeah, I did some not smart things in my teens! But not because someone told me not to (like a ignorant child would do)! No I did it because the possible end that was told to me was what I wanted to happen (I’m not going into details about that because I’m not dumb nor do I feel like making my life even harder than it already is)! The more I hear about how “we’re all the same” and then you say this stuff, all that does is prove to me we’re NOT all the same and I have very little in common with the rest of the world! And when it comes to covid, I think I was 1 of the only people not really affected during 2022!?! Yeah I got it once that year and it sucked and 1 of my uncles that I never talk to or see ever passed away. But that’s about it! I still had to go to work every day, I still hated life as much as always, I still went nowhere and saw no one outside of work to hang out, I still had to deal with everyone else’s ignorance (but at that time it was no longer “oh life is great and everything is sunshine and rainbows”! But it was “oh life kinda sucks now and I don’t get to go out and have fun with my friends and everyone must feel the same. So now I can say I suffered also like those that seem sad. But my life was great so obviously they have no reason to be upset since their life was probably just like mine”!!! The only thing I thought of that whole year was “well at least now everyone else knows a small little bit of the hell I live every day”!!!

I have to say not everyone believes in Jesus Christ our lord and savior so what I'll say is anything or anyone can be your higher power please don't make anyone uncomfortable while we all try and celebrate our own recovery I recently spent 10 weeks at a Christian based rehabilitation center in Iowa and couldn't have felt more uncomfortable because of my race and sexual orientation I appreciate these videos but let's focus on the recovery
@christinebradley29874 жыл бұрын
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ centered recover group. Anyone or anything can't do for you what Jesus can. Jesus loves you and meets as you are, where you are.

Christ is the main part of a Christian based recovery. I couldn't stay sober without Jesus. Oh I am in Iowa too.

I’m so sorry you’ve experienced that discomfort. as letter y in ´sanity’ states in this video, I can confidentially say that Jesus loves you just the way you are and I’m sorry for hurt you’ve received from Christian people who don’t understand that
