Hi Pastor Derick and the Hope Sabbath school team. I am a Seventh Day Adventist Church from the island of JAMAICA. A few years back it was difficult for me to understand the weekly lessons especially when they are based on the Old Testament. I was going through youtube oneday ,when i met upon you Guys. Now I’m rejoicing, you’ve all made them so easy for me hallelujah. I take my phone everywhere around my home and property with me so I can listen and get a good understanding of them. A good example of forgivness is the story of king Manessah in the old testament.....have mercy Oh my LORD and give me understanding and show me how to love, Amen❤❤❤

People who fear God's wrath should consider what the punitive parent wants from their child and for their child. Trust and happiness, peace, godly fulfilment is what I want my daughters to experience. God desires the same things for us. We don't blame the parent. Why blame God?

Sometimes I think that we are afraid to consider the realities of God's dealings with us. Did God express wrath towards Jonah's disobedience? Did he turn his anger away or did he not stir up all his wrath? How would we feel if God dealt with us as with Jonah, really?
