Why didn't you bid 2C at your first turn , or 4C at your second?

Hi there. Bidding 2C at my first turn is a game force. If I hold a balanced hand, I need at least 22 hcp. On this hand I am balanced and only hold 18 hcp. I could have bid 4C at my 2nd turn but this would have shown 6+ clubs. If, over my double, partner had rebid 4H (showing 5+), I was thinking that 6H might be a possibility. Great question!
