I love it!! I’m in the process of becoming an English teacher for highschool! This helped me so much. It gave me insight on the behind the scenes work part lol. Teachers don’t just teach! That’s 50% of it a wise counsel once told me.😂💎

I'm a new teacher in Alabama and feel confident in teaching because I'm passionate about the material, but I'm terrified of all the little things that come along with lesson planning 😔 That's why I've been keeping my restaurant job instead of getting into teaching but your video is so encouraging!! Thank you for taking the time to make this 🥰

When I was in 9th grade, I made a 38 for the 3rd 9 weeks. This lowered my average totally, in which I needed to make at least 100% on every assignment till the end of the school year so that I could pass. I busted my tail off scoring 100% on every assignment. By the end of the semester, I finished the 4th 9 week with a 110%. Fast forward to today, I have a Bachelors and two Masters. A former classmate who now works at the same school district that we graduated from now has a position there. He recently posted on social media encouraging English and Math majors to apply. Well, I don’t have an English degree but I do have one in journalism and an additional Masters in Educational Leadership. He said he didn’t see an issue with my credentials. So I just got through submitting my application. Let’s see how it goes. 😊

"Hold on, the lights just went off." The most relatable afterschool teacher moment EVER. That and the annoying colleague who finds us in our classroom working..... who proceeds to have the longest rant and or conversation about NOTHING.

I loved the idea of the gallery walk. I thought it was a smart decision to change the annotations into paraphrasing! I’m considering using this lesson for my 9th grade class once we get into poetry. Can’t wait to watch more of your videos :)

I have two hard-earned education degrees and have a licensure in secondary English education I have to renew. My lesson plans are beyond exceptional (and my college asked to keep them as an example for future students). Most of my old lesson plans were on disk which I can't access anymore, but I have my portfolio and hard copies.
