Seems to me Ezekiel 18 clearly dismantles the idea of the original shared sin that Jesus had to sacrifice himself for. Am I missing something? I mean isn't this book saying the wicked who repent and obey God will attain salvation? And this was before Jesus was even born. I mean the sin of Adam isn't a consequence we all must bear, not the sin itself. The consequence is use living on Earth and outside of paradise, but the sin itself isn't inherited by us? This makes sense to me, but seems to dismantle the Christian narrative of Jesus' sacrifice, am I'm missing something?

I say read Hebrews, especially chapters 8-11, I think the Amplified version is best at explaining Jesus’ final sacrifice and why it was and is necessary.

You're missing why God made a "chosen people" to begin with (from Abraham, THE Seed would be born of a virgin to take away the sin of all peoples should they opt in). Chapters earlier, God called out Noah, Daniel, and Job for their justice, but that they could save only themselves and not others in their generations (though we know that by the grace of God, those were blessed with the ability to do God's will and save others in so doing). Clearly God can remove the stain of original sin, and he had done so to others as well (Abram, Moses, probably all prophets who were called like Isaiah and Ezekiel: fire from the chariot of God to their lips).
