Just as in 1930's Germany, the American church has refused to be involved in politics. Half of Christians aren't registered to vote! The church in 1930's Germany presided over the murder of 6 million Jews. Because they did not stand up! They didn't realize what would happen, but the American church KNOWS what will happen because we saw what happened in Germany. The American church will face judgment for squandering Stewardship of our freedoms and our vote.

Very disheartening, I see so many similarities! It challenges me as a member of the Body of Christ to be more pro-active!! Put on the Armor Of God & Be Brave for the cause of Christ & spread The Good News to all people whom He has created. Stay prayerfully & vocally strong for Gods Chosen People & Israel!! God bless Israel & The Jewish People everywhere!!❤️🙏🏼✝️

Thank you for having this woman on. I loved the details she added about Corrie, and how she was faithful in the ordinary which lead to the opportunity to be faithful in the extraordinary. And even her story about talking to the director of J.C. Superstar and how she could have a positive influence on his life, too. Nothing done for the Lord and for His glory is ever wasted!❤

I read ‘The Hiding Place’ as a new Christian in my early twenties. It was mesmerizing to me. Then when I married, my mother-in-law who was a Dutch warbride gave me the book again. It was a blessing. A few years ago,my daughter and I visited the Netherlands and went to the home of Corrie in Haarlem. What a treasured memory! 🇨🇦

I too had the great opportunity to sit and listen to her and hear her story that touched my heart . As a thirteen year on my way to school a older Jewish couple call over to me they showed me their tattoo on their arms and they told me to never to for get this . One Day Father will make clear why I had this occurrence .

When I was growing up, we didn’t have as many books as there are nowadays for younger people, but The Hiding Place was one of my go-to reads. It shaped my thinking for all my life (including my horror at the compliance at the time of covid, and the speed with which neighbour turned against neighbour 😣

As Nan Gurley was speaking about Corrie Ten Boone, I was remembering reading The Hiding Place many years ago and another book In My Father’s House. Nan spoke about the years of quiet obedience and my thoughts went to Daniel (I studied him this past summer) and how he determined early on to be obedient and then Nan brought up Daniel. I also am challenged to be obedient and humble. Thank you for this interview, what a blessing!

Not much moves me to tears any longer but this wet my eyes again in the love and boldness of His Spirit moving within my woodeness. We as Christians carry that power of electricity of forgiveness and acceptance no matter how jolted into normalness it seems. Tears from being moved show we haven’t yet been cast to stone but have a heart of flesh upon which our Lord writes.

This reminded me of when I met Richard Wurmbrand shortly after his release from Romanian communist prisons, after man years of torture and suffering. When I shook his hand and I looked into his eyes, there was such a mixture of love and suffering, hard to describe, but like seeing the eyes of Jesus. Thanks so much for sharing about Corrie. So challenging to us in these times. Would we stand? I pray it for myself that I would🙏

Oh my. Thank you for this interview. My mom took me to a church program. I must have been pre-teen, 11 or 12 when I saw Richard Wurmbrand years and years ago. I listened with half an ear. Afterwards, I read 'tortured for Christ'. I cried for weeks. I knew I was not nor would ever be as strong as he, never as good as Corrie. I believe we are living in the days of Noah. I am actively looking for the rapture and praying for the Lord to strengthen me and all Christ followers as we have some rocky days ahead. Keep looking up! ❤ maranatha ❤

Wow! I was truly moved and challenged by this episode. I have loved Corrie ten Boom's story ever since I read the Hiding Place in middle school. At the time, I was amazed that a Christian story was one of the historical narratives of WWII, and assigned as part of Public School curriculum. Very much as Nan Gurley, I have been living a comfortable American lifestyle for most of my life. As I read the Hiding Place, I imagined myself as Corrie, and COULD NOT imagine doing what she did. I began praying then that if I ever faced a similar situation I would NOT wimp out, but face it as she did. Thank you, Nan Gurley, for using your gifts, and for your preparation. You told stories that I didn't know. I wonder if either of you have ever watched the Chosen? The actor who plays Jesus, Jonathan Roumie, is a very faithful Catholic and I believe both of you would be edified by his story of being pulled out of difficult circumstances. BTW I am a Baptist.

To speak out louder in today’s chaotic & crazy demonic cultural battle for not just our youth but everyone, about Our Awesome God! And the eminent danger of where America is now compared to what was going on with The Jewish People prior to The Holocaust!! We better wake up, America!! So enjoyed Pastor & Ms. Nan Gurley! I read The Hiding Place during the wee hours of the morning at the fireplace hearth with the snow blowing outside in Colorado 25 years ago. I asked if I could ever be brave enough or crusty enough to do what Corrie did. I still check my faith but the only true test is in a situation such as that. Yes, I know that we are heading straight for a repeat of the horrific reign by the Nazis who now know to label others to deflect the truth. Daily communication with Jesus is our only hope. I'd love to see this play but too far away. I'm sure Nan Gurly will do a wonderful performance with love and passion.

Corrie ten Boom has been one of my biggest Christian heroes for many years. I, too, have pondered whether I'd be as strong in the face of adversity as she and her family were. Her books should be read by every believer, and I would encourage Christian parents to read The Hiding Place, and In My Father's House, aloud to their young children -- and again when the children are a little older.

It was really interesting to hear her talking about Jesus Christ Superstar -- God used the movie to save me! It was not by any merit of the movie, though. I would NOT recommend the movie to anyone. I was just turned seventeen, grew up in a family that didn't attend church. When I was fourteen I asked my mother for a Bible, because I wanted to read it and we didn't even have one in the house. I had read through almost all of the Bible before seeing that movie. As I watched it, I was dismayed at how it changed Jesus Christ from the Bible account, and at the end, where He was left dead -- I wasn't a believer yet, but I *knew* that was wrong. That was *not* the end of the story! I was in tears as we left the drive-in theater where we'd watched it (to the dismay of my mother, who had no idea what I'd been thinking). At that moment, God spoke to me, saying, "Yes, the Bible is true. Yes, God is real. And you are the one who should have been on that cross, for your sins -- Jesus took your place. Now He has to be the Lord of your life forever." I heard His voice as clearly as if the person sitting next to me had been speaking. That was just over fifty years ago, and I believe in Him even more strongly now, after fifty years of living with Him, and learning more about Him. But there's no credit to that very bad movie -- it was just the tool that God used to reach my heart.

I am reading a novel series called The Zion Covenant by Bodie Thoene. This series will wake you up to the viciousness and deceitfulness of Hitler and his followers. Reading it has opened my eyes as history unfolded in Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia. What I have read that happened in the 1930s is happening right now in my country, the USA. I encourage you to find this series in your library. The series was written years ago. These books will open your eyes to the evil we face right now. Our foe is using the same tried and true tactics that the world was deceived by and or ignored.
