I'm old school and classic I love the #vintage. When the RTW hit I was glad for the brand but I felt lost frfr. I couldn't keep up. I have a few pieces but NOTHING felt as good for me to wear my #Malia #Zaria because I knew it conveyed my mood and talked for me even when I didn't feel like speaking. My shape just didn't allow for some pieces of clothing to look good on me. I admit I was sad😢 and I felt like the brand I loved so much had excelled beyond who I was and I couldn't keep up. But I was committed to the brand because of you and your creativity. I supported regardless but I'm glad you made a decision that was first best for you and your legacy but also for the encouragement and impact for others. So many takeaways. The fact that you had the courage to let go of a newly implemented department of your brand, to focus on your gift! When you said, people pleasing and ego are rooted and fear, which causes a lot of us to stay in situations longer than we should resulting in unnecessary stress. Once you said within yourself that you would LET GO, God immediately rewarded you! Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's something about making the firm decision within yourself that gets God's attention. Like the woman with the issue of blood in Matthew 9:20-22. She wrote the prescription for her miracle and so did you, by getting back to what God lead you to do in the first place and by believing that you are enough!!!!!!! This blessed me so much. Takeaway was hearing how you were able to own the error of your decision to add the ready to wear. With my not-for-profit, I had to do similar years ago and essentially stop the negative impact that was occurring ( which my husband had already observed well before I could .) I think it has much to do with the passion and drive that we have concerning our business that pushes us into areas or decisions that might not be the best.
