Hey, been playing for a while now and have developed a bad habit I'm not sure how to shake off. I was hoping someone could give me some advice? I find myself subconsciously, physically leaning on my left hand, slowing it down. Instead of levitating my hand and just pressing keys down as I do with my right. I've tried to be conscious of it but the moment my attention goes elsewhere I start leaning again and only notice when my left can't keep up with the rhythm. Please help?

You said "A melody uses mostly steps, few skips and way fewer leaps". Your simple yet insightful statement that I just never thought about created a breakthrough for me in ear training-figuring out a melody on the fly. It gives me an outline a pattern a structure in what to look for in plucking out a melody, note by note of any song and learn it quickly. As an intermediate player thank you!

Sir I am learning Piano for the past three months & Guitar for the past 2 weeks. I kinda feel like overdoing the whole Instrument learning process. Is it is advisable to learn two instruments at once or better stick with one for a while? Thanks.

Who ever designed this music system where we can have 7 flats, is insane. So we have 7 alias names for 7 different keys? Why don't we just call each key what it is? Why all the aliases. Oh I know why, this is all, supposedly, so we dont have to write repeat the same note in a scale, cause THAT might be confusing???? Seems to be we should just allow there to be an A AND an A# and DEAL with it; instead of saying A and B flat. which to my modern brain is even more confusing , especially when you repeat this times 7. Lets just call a note what it is, this way we just learn 12 notes and no mas. Getting off my soapbox now. :-) I will not learn flats!!!

I feel you! I still think you should learn the flats lol
