I'm a big fan of the original IWTV and believe that the cast of the movie did a phenomenal job of bringing Anne Rice's novel to life. I was sceptical when I heard a series was coming. However, I now can't wait to really sit down and watch it after seeing your edit. From what I've seen, Sam has done an amazing job of bringing Lestat's charm, aura, sex appeal, and danger to life. Completely how you envisage Lestat when you read the books! Fabulous edit. I've watched it so many times since I discovered it! I haven’t been able to bring myself to watch the series because I feel like they totally ruined Louis’ character. I made it halfway through the first episode and turned it off because he was nothing like in the books. I can’t stand it when they completely change characters like that, and I’m not just talking about his race either but his entire background and personality. It’s like they created a whole new character and gave him Louis’ name. With all of that being said, maybe I need to give it another chance. Then again, I still can’t watch Queen of the Damned without nitpicking the entire movie because of the differences from the book. 😂
