the good thing about making jtoh videos is that even without you commentating it's still kind of entertaining seeing you play, shake from all the stress, and do things that genuinely hurt me inside. Here's a tip: after getting on to a ladder, get out of shiftlock so that you can move your camera without moving your character. It may not do much now, but it is so useful when it comes to harder towers. Also, when you are doing the tightrope thing, tap the w key, don't hold it. Don't use shiftlock while doing this either, because wherever your cursor is (in first person) is where you are actually standing. The reason why you should tap the w key instead of holding it is so that if your cursor ever goes off the tightrope, you can reposition it. In the footage you look left handed btw, you can usually tell by what side they go when they do a wraparound. GG, how did you beat that so quickly? most people quit before they beat Tower of Hecc, so congratulations! You are either skilled or really bad at giving up! either way, JToH won't be leaving your life any time soon. prepare for this game to have a big impact on the rest of your life. You decide whether that's a good or bad thing.

Just run and jump on the tightrope, centering yourself as you’re moving

Just a few helpful tips: 1. When your jumping make sure not to hold jump becuase you could bounce off of parts 2. For tightropes you should try to exit shift lock because it is useless in first person mode and it allows you to precisely line up your mouse. Hope these helped👍

Big GGS, you've beat the biggest obstacle for begginers, congratulations! I wonder what other challenges you'll overcome. Also, 23:34 ALWAYS do 1 studs like this, it's a lot easier. For now, here's another jtoh fact: ToH was the first tower in the game, back when it was called kiddies tower of hell. It was the only tower for some time and poeple considered it to be the hardest obby, but as you probably noticed, that isn't the case anymore, as there are towers that make ToH look like an ant amongst hornets. I sadly didn’t experience this type of grinding when I was new because I mostly quit and would just coil towers. Fortunately when I gave up my coil, I became WAY better and beat over 120 towers. I’m glad to see someone new taking the right path! Keep in mind, there’s a practice game for harder towers so you can practice there so you can get consistent at towers!

forgot to give a tip (maybe) but obbyists constantly toggle shiftlock (for example: 12 stud jumps, tightropes, ladder/truss flick, etc.) also set players to invisible or ghost in the in-game menu settings if the players are blocking your view unless you've known this already

@@Char_Apostrophe Imagine skipping a difficulty when you are starting to increase your skill in obbies. The gap between bottom-medium and mid-hard is what makes people struggle on ToH. Considering that they have little to no obby experience, they will have a hard time adapting to such jump in difficulty. They probably go to Forgotten Ridge or Zone 1 to further increase their skill. Ring 2 is also an option if you beat two steeples or a tower in Forgotten Ridge.

You'll find now that you'll be able to beat stuff in Ring 2 now, like Tower of Phone Snapping (which is way more fun), and you can choose for yourself whether or not to do Tower of Big Hole as your next hardest or continue with Ring 1 on Tower of Keyboard Yeeting (p.s., Ring 1 ain't the only area with a secret area! If you look around Ring 2, you'll be in for a rather pleasant surprise...)

Quick tip: not saying your avatar is bad, and it doesn't quite matter at beginning towers, but having a basic avatar will make jumps way easier to sightread and wont be distracting. you don't want big avatar items (keep the plush) to make you accidently mess up. but ggs!!

Great job man! Tower of Hecc can be a bit hard to read since it was the first tower to be created. The more you play obbies, the more you get used to all the jumps! Some recommendations for progression: 1. Get consistent at the easier stuff before moving up the difficulty chart 2. Try and get some progress in both worlds to have a good variety of towers to play 3. DO THE SUBREALMS!!! Cannot stress this enough, subrealms are (mostly) free tower points which you can use to help with progression 4. Make sure you know what towers to do as your first for each difficulty, for the moment I’ll give you some recommendations: Difficult: Any difficult in ring 1, anything in GoE, ToV in forgotten ridge (decent skill booster) or anything in zone 2 (No zone 1 or ring 2 cause they suck) Challenging: ToPC in zone 4 (good skill booster) or ToTC in forgotten ridge Intense: ToIE ring 1, ToMIM zone 4 Remorseless: People say ToTS in ring 1. I disagree HEAVILY, ToAF in zone 6 is a much better skill booster, incredibly learny and quite punishing but is definitely much better as a general skill booster

Tower of True Skill has more punishment but easier gameplay. ToAF has harder ganeplay but safer. Whatever works for you.

@@TheGloriousKing1 The punishment is pretty much the same, f6 outside fail = instakill, f9 outside flick fail = instakill, f10 4 fails = instakill, at least with ToTS you have more catchpoints as you ascend

@@Squallzzz Nws also recommendations: In the rings unless you really want to do them get the easy tower points first then move on in the earlier rings. Highly advise against doing the earlier difficults/challengings in the rings unless you want to. Also don't even bother doing any of the challengings in z1 or z2, they suck hard. Do the stuff in z3 instead e.g. the difficults and hards, they're incredibly annoying but are not as bad as z1 or z2 crap. Also get the free points from the easy, hard and difficult steeples in Paradise Atoll then stay away from the challengings there for now, they also suck. World 1 (rings) has crap early towers but they get a tiny bit better later. World 2 is kinda enjoyable from the start but gets MILES better from z4 onwards

Yooo the ToH completion video is here!!! Amazing job! Except... i can see you did NOT practice in the practice place i told you about, i feel betrayed. By the way, you are doing tightropes correctly in the wrong way. First of all, don't rush, it's just not worth it. Second, move your camera to face the very bottom when doing tightropes in first person, or just tightropes in general, it makes them easier. Third tip, you should have shiftlock off and use your mouse cursor when being in first person when doing tightropes, make sure the tip of the cursor is in the middle of the tightrope and once again, DONT RUSH. Last tip, press both alignment keys when you are on the tightrope and do NOT move your camera after you pressed them and are facing the tightrope perfectly straight. Oh, by the way, you can't use the alignment key trick on tightropes that aren't perfectly aligned with said alignment keys. Oh yeah also use practice place plsplsplspls, you shouldn't just sightread towers that are difficult for you. Anyway congrats!
