Was somehow dificult at first, but with these updates to the framework and cursor, making recommended changes from my supervisor in my phd work has never been easier. Literally. I basically finished my work in less than 3 months, and its rock solid. Petroleum geophysics. I promise you, agency swarm and cursor for AI Agents is the way forward...

@@thebicycleman8062 cursor like any other ide can generate code, but these code needs a framework and agency swarm fit my project. They both helped in my project, however you need to have a problem to solve else both will be meaningless. Besides, you need to understand the framework "agency swarm" to be able to make iterative corrections because cursor hallucinates, so you can correct it in such scenarios.

No, because the Cursor Flow here requires Claude Sonnet. Cursor has a free tier you can try.

Yeah it's a whole new world with cursor AI composer but having used it for a few days I can affirm that when one's dealing with a larger more complex code base you can't just let it loose. 😢 It loves to rush ahead fixing problems and it's important to continually tell it to slow it down, think through this step by step give me the pros and cons and your recommendations, and then it can do some pretty amazing things. But beware the sorcerer's apprentice 🙂

Hey, yeah, you need to create your own custom rules file for every big project that you work on. Use ours as an example. Make sure to specify exactly what all the files, and folders are and how to work in your code base step by step. Also, it needs to be able to write test first. Otherwise, it’s not useful at all

Windsurf does not have “rules” feature, which is why we are sticking with cursor. It’s the most important feature for team collaboration when you have multiple projects. In terms of AI, I did not notice a big difference

@@vrsen Windsirf doesnt have such Monthly limitations, after 500 Cursoro in parctice stops working. Windsurf erforma on a day to day basica bette rthan Cursor. Can I use the code in .cursorrule for Windsurf?

This is perfect. Can you use composio tools with agency swarm or is there no need? Ex: I want to create an SDR workflow that does intelligent prospecting, engagement and create custom messages,etc...am i stuck with API's and trying to use linkedin API or can I do browser actions (multion for instance).

LinkedIn does not have a public API. You have to use a third party. Tool library and composio integration are coming soon!

I’m not sure, I like Cursor the most tbh. However, if other IDEs don’t support rules file, you can just copy the text content and send it into a prompt!

@@vrsen luckily now, cline supports cursorrules which is awesome. Also, could we maybe see non-openai agents communicating using agency swarm? The likes of Gemini 2.0, Amazon Nova and deepseek v3 are pretty cool and will only get better. GPT-4o has been blown outta the water imo. I use non-openai agents using Astra assistant with AS but without tools and without interacting with other agents.

This is awesome. Could you use with Windsurf instead of Cursor? actually noe Windsurf has .windsufrules, as well, I just dont know how strctly cascase stick to these rules. Some one here posted a YT video on it.

I have figured out how to modify the rules file to avoid issues - when it hallucinates stop the process and ask the question- you just made a mistake and created a folder instead of using the cli. Why did you do that? Then tell me what should I modify in my cursor rules file to avoid that happening? - It will tell you how to improve the workflow. Here's a very powerful "hack" to improve cursor rules files.. get access to o1 model, put your rule file in and copy and paste your entire chat history including all the problems you encounted into tags, then specify TASKS: 1. review the cursor ai coding agent log file in detail and identify all the issues that occured during the workflow. 2. Suggest improvements to cursor rules file to resolve any issues and optimize the workflow. 3. Output improved cursor rules file.
