so my logic is that she had a-lot of things going through her mind and I guess since the hat was like from her bro who was probably the only person who gave her the feelings of warmth all she could think of was saving the hat as if it was a person itself which shows how valuable the hat is, like if someone important to you was falling down the building would you run down the stairs to go save em? or just jump off and hold them close to you so that he/she won’t get hurt as you fall.. so what i’m tryna say is she values the hat that much of a person that she would jump off to save it because it was the only thing that gave her the ability to be her.. i guess or she was just probably not in the right state of mind or she was thinking of dying at the same time so she just jumped
