I was hearing a clicking/rubbing noise with mine on 3s (running a hobbywing 4000kv motor). I discovered the driveshaft was able to flex and grind/rub against the servo mount, installed a typhon 3s center driveshaft bearing and the noise went away.

Yes. I have ordered that and the aluminum motor plate. My mistake that I didn’t order them to start

Still haven’t put my brushless system in. I HAVE however run a full 3s pack through it. 😂 Was smoking at the end and the stench of burnt motor covered the yard but she’s still going! 😂 If I had a cheap 3s capable low turn brushless motor I’d try that out. It was fun on 3s

You can here the drive shaft flexing & rubbing, get the center support bearing on.

I’ve played with mine stock on 2s last couple days. Man it’s hella fun as it is and a fantastic value. I’m about to put the MAX10 SCT 3200kv combo in mine. Using your recommended pinion and spur. We’ll see! I’ve been having fun messing around in the back driveway and yard and haven’t found the desire to swap it all out 😂

What I'm finding so far is: 30mph ok, but kinda slow 40mph better.. but needs more, pucker factor increases. fast for under 1/18 scale 50mph something will break if you crash, plenty fast for most RCs 60mph now you're speed running 70+mph you got money to burn (yes, there are a couple budget builds you can potentially hit 100mph but I mean generally)

Great install of the Brushless system Tony!! I was surprised that this rig didn't have the the metal motor mount included with it🤔. I saw in the comments that you have ordered it. It drifts on demand now!! This is a great option if you can't afford the Felony!! Great job again, stay safe and bash on from Colorado!!!

I honestly didn’t realize it had the plastic mount either. Kept hearing brushless ready and thought it was going to be a drop in. But more parts are needed

@@CCxRC paying for driveways is painful. Our last place ate 1k of gravel every couple years.
@CCxRC3 жыл бұрын
Ouch! That makes sense as the gravel embeds. Our asphalt is basically broken chunks of asphalt locked together like a puzzle. Curious if my snow pusher is going to lift pieces out.

@@CCxRC @CCxRC Tax deductible as business expense, need proper surface for high speed testing, hahah all kidding aside, lots of roads like that and that rig handles it perfectly, annoying when you get a 1:10 road car and it can barely roll over the driveway or street in front of your house. Growing up in New England... that is every bit of asphalt I've ever known.
