I was diagnosed with severe RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) in 2005 when I was 36 years old and told by one of the leading RA specialist in my country at the time that I need to go onto CHEMO to control the symptoms and then make peace with the fact that I will end up in a wheelchair before I turn 50. When I asked him if my problem is related to my diet ... he told me not to waste time with "old wives tales". I ignored his advice and started looking at my diet and learned more about what aggravates my RA .... 16 years later I'm in better shape and more active I've ever been.

I turned 69 years old last May 10. Thank God that I am blessed to have good health. I do not have any kind of health problem to this date. I do eat a small serving of fresh fruit everyday, such as mangoes, watermelon, papaya, pomelo, avocado, tamarind, cantaloupe, and anything that is in season in my country. I also eat peanuts, almond nuts, pecan nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and pitted dates. I eat greens such as cabbage, bok choy, watercress, celery, spinach, lettuce, okra, bittermelon and moringa, but not on a daily basis. I will have a slice or 2 of buttered white bread almost every other morning, and have 2 soft boiled egg every morning and a bowl of steel cut oats on other mornings. I drink water with a tbsp of apple cider vinegar 30 mins before every meal. I would have beef and pork meat once or twice a week and eat fish and chicken the rest of the week. I love yogurt, kombucha and water kefir, sauerkraut and fermented baby cucumbers. I am not concerned if I am eating organic or non organic food because organic is not readily available where I come from. BTW, I also enjoy chocolates and cake treats once in a while. I do not deprive myself of some of the guilty pleasures in life Thank God that I have never been really sick of anything. My mother who had about the same eating habit as mine, lived to be 90 years old. I hope that by sharing this, I could encourage someone to eat moderately and still enjoy to the fullest.

diet and nutrition should be part of everyone's routine when it comes to regular medical check ups. Doctors really aren't concerned about preventative measures like proper nutrition and most don't even want to discuss nutrition as well as exercise. Breathing issues gone! Now after going Vegan I lost another 15-20 lbs and feel wonderful! No more nasal congestion, no more fatigue, brain fog still present but much better. I hurt my body by doing these. With porphyria, a patient needs to eat carbs and sugar. With Diabetes, very little carbs and sugar. I cannot find anyone in this area, who doesn't want me on drugs, and insulin. I want to cure myself with food! I feel like I am dying by 5:00pm, every day. I am going into a porphyria attack every day. This is not healthy! I have spent thousands of dollars on supplements, and buying pills, from online doctors. Soon, I will not have that money to spend. Could you tell me what type of doctor, I should seek? I have had 5 mini strokes, and now it is very difficult to find a neurologist who cares. I have gained back the 14 pounds I lost, and the weight is going up. This is not good for diabetics, or patients with porphyria. I am obese. I am at a loss! The only functional doctor in the area, charges approximately $500, a visit. Takes no insurance. I am not rich. There is one injection I could take, a new drug, but it costs $66,000 a month. They claim Medicare will cover it, but, I have called 4 times, and got four different answers.

PCOS is caused by insulin resistance and is easy to reverse with diet. Look up Ben Bikman. He's a Ph.D. Physiologist. Here's a good video to start with: "DR BEN BIKMAN - PCOS AND INSULIN RESISTANCE" He talks about how to fix insulin resistance in other videos and in his book.

this was all fascinating, thanks for posting it , I had to deal with this myself I grew up eating a lot of tomatoes, being Italian, my grandfather made me tomato and mayo sandwiches which I loved, but as an adult, I can't eat them any more without feeling sick and itchy it finally dawned onme that the tomatoes I ate were grown organically in either my grandfather or great uncles' gardens, organically, now tomatoes are largely imported and gassed to finish ripening I'm sure I'm allergic to that gas, luckily, all the best Italian food doesn't contain tomatoes at all so I can still eat it

When my child was diagnosed with celiac and t1 diabetes (which I do understand are lifelong), the hospital served her cake the size of her 3 year old face. I couldn't believe this was a hospital environment. Even the consultant said were sending you home because you're not going to get her blood sugar down here. Through a healthy diet and exercise, and of course insulin injections and gf diet, her glucose is mostly kept in the normal range for years now. But it is truly scary how low down the priority list diet is within typical healthcare settings.

Monica Villasenor May consider the plant based diet . Mom of three and my kids are sick allll the time . I’m so tired of them being failed by the foods we eat. Want to help find foods they can thrive off of. I read Weston price diet and brain maker by dr perlmutter and wheat belly. Was shocked at how little I knew growing up.
@monicavillasenor23453 жыл бұрын
@@LeGeND-12 that’s good that you want to take charge of your children’s health, most parents don’t want or at least don’t care to and it’s sad bc the health epidemic is starting to reach out to the young ones and if society isn’t going to do anything then I guess we must take matter into our own hands, and if you’re not sure which lifestyle diet to do, I would recommend doing a experiment; one month try the Weston price/ wheat belly diet and the next month try a whole food plant based diet and by the end you can differentiate which works better for you and your kids. I’d probably also make a daily “ mood” log and at least walk for 30 min a day to really compare the two side by side by the end of it all! Also there’s an app called “21-Day Vegan” that gives you tons of recipes and grocery list to help you however I’m not too sure about the other diet(s) if they have any resources.

The message seemed to get lost in method. My wish for her would be able to draw her audience in rather then coming off as combative. I almost left because of her, even though what she was saying was interesting and knowledgeable. It had an air of condescension. No not everyone can eat organic period! I'm not proud to admit I've fed my kid mickey-D's for breakfast, ramen for lunch and captain crunch for dinner. Honestly This is so much more common they (middle class or affluent people) know. Please don't push away the people who need this the most by a superior attitude.

For years when I was in my late teens through my late twenties, I always fasted on Saturdays, that is, drank water all day. (Please understand, I had no underlying issues with blood sugar, etc.). I ate simply and was so situated that I bought my organic veggies and fruits each evening on the way home on my 15 minute commute. I began eating organic with only whole grain bread as a treat, yogurt, sugar and a quarter lemon in my iced tea being a southerner - dropped the sugar by the time I was 22 - and working at a health food store that allowed employees unlimited grazing, I snacked as desired on pumpkin seeds, walnuts, pistachios, pecans, etc. Always had fresh food for lunch and a treat of kefir or yoghurt. I adopted this practice at 18, working that summer at the health food store: I would take a glass of V8 juice, add a tablespoon of brewer’s yeast, a Tablespoon of mother cider vinegar topped off with a tablespoon of kelp. It was disgusting! But my skin and hair was great, energy great, and I lost 18 pounds in a month! Also, dinner was eating both raw kale and cooked kale, other dark greens, lean beefs and fish, Mom was a great cook! Our food we grew ourselves because we had fantastic soil not farmed since the 1900s…and we composted everything. Funny story: a railroad ran about 50 feet from our house, the historic Schubal-Coffin House which we rented in a small historic Southern town, a home built in 1854, which we heated with our fireplaces. Well, a train derailed and dumped an entire car of raw food-grade wheat in the lower part of the back yard…the matriarch of the town who owned the property we rented negotiated a settlement that included letting the town’s people to collect the wheat for themselves. We joined our neighbors with new big plastic garbage bins and that grain was cleaned up in two days! It was the seventies so people were in need, we certainly were. We froze our portion, and my father became a great bread baker! On Fridays we had bread hot out of the oven with butter and honey for dessert! 9Dad got a sour dough starter from someone in his church, which he used from 1974 until he was too old for the long day necessary to make and rise and bake his sourdough…he took great joy in giving away his delicious bread until he was about 88 years old. WW II vet. I was blessed to cobble together a career as a successful commercial artist as a fashion and furniture illustrator, and worked long hours. Got mononucleosis when I was about 22-23 and it wouldn’t go away. No appetite. I’d fall asleep while I was talking to people. Couldn’t hold myself up at the drafting table. (I was a green belt in JiuJitzu and ran track and swam and did yoga and calisthenics, so I wasn’t desk-bound, and later gardened four-to-eight hours a day and then did the artwork, when I began my freelance business in the home.) My friend had to drive up from Charlotte to grocery shop for me, I finally took a month’s leave from work on doctor’s orders. Still too weak, food was like cardboard in my mouth. Yech. I began studying about nutrition and vitamins. My Aunt, also a commercial artist, urged vitamin Bs especially B-12, or restore my appetite. Well, my cat had just got a B-12 shot at the vet to restore his appetite. But my doctor “didn’t believe in vitamins”, and refused to get me a shot! so I went out and bought good organic vitamins, and doubled down on the Bs, especially B12. Took these religiously for a months and got my appetite back within 30 days. I tested positive for mono for over a year, by the way. I then developed, and had to cope with what came to be recognized as Epstein-Barr, which forced me to take a day or two at least once a week to go to bed and rest. It got better with time, but I still suffer periods of exhaustion even today. My budget is restricted now, so buying fresh foods is a challenge, eating healthy proteins, and have injuries that impart my activities, but I swear by my vitamins and good nutrition. I still stretch as I can, walk as I can, garden as I can. I drink my tea with lemon, no sugar. Fascinating discussion. I compost my garden, both the flowers and veggies. A local farm allows a pick-your-own blueberries. I eat fruit as it is in season. Eggs are heirloom farm-fresh, but I wish I knew if the store produce has been irradiated. When I have time I want to source a local milk cow, and get my milk like it was in my Mom’s day. Great discussion!

The Priests were commanded to make animal blood sacrifice almost continually, keeping the altar burning, the Priests were eating the meat. After being led out of Egypt by Moses and 40 years of being lost and being forced to eat manna from heaven, they prayed for meat and god sent a huge flock of seagulls to die and fall on them, up to their waists. Most died from overeating.

I drove the tractor to spread the manure for fertilizer to grow the hay and corn to feed the livestock, for milk and eggs, I gathered wild blackberries and blueberries from the edge of the forest, Grandma baked bread in a wood stove, every morning. Nothing went to waste. They would buy sugar, coffee, flour and salt. The rest we grew. People call it permaculture now. It was just the way everybody lived back then. Now that our illustrious politicians have sold our rights and freedoms to the corporations who rule us with all the money they have to influence, everything is done for a profit motive, instead of what is best for our health and growth, security and peace. Politics has become violent, some want to put us in camps for re-education and think that's ok, they openly say it, over and over again, without seeing the error of their thinking. That is Fascism every time. We must stand up and fight against the enemy within, even if we, the original Patriots, are being demonized unjustly by propaganda and lies in order to install a fascist government of rulers, the Dims. I saw this the other day, from the Smithsonian, " Concepts such as Hard Work, Rational Thinking, Nuclear Family and Belief in God are not values that Unite all Americans, they are instead, aspects of whiteness." So all the hard work I just told you about, thoughtful planning, love of God and Country are racist now. I need to be re-programmed. OMG! get it? I never disrespected anyone because of their race in my entire life. I worked hard to have security and peace, God Help me/us!

Imhotep is shown in many statues hold the "cylinders of the pharaoh" made from copper and zinc tubes filled with quartz when held produces up to 1.5 volts. Make them yourself or buy them on amazon or etsy.

This was one of the MOST INTERESTING, MIND CAPTIVATING segment of educational discussions that I've heard since my Early college years! It was "smooth as a fresh jar of Skippy Peanutbutter". Very well conducted and most Professional even as speakers slightly disagreed. Seriously that was really appreciated as it actually helped me to be assured a d Confirm that I'm NOT alone in what I've watched the REAL SILENT KILLERS at work. I grew up as a "1970's Hippy/Southern Raised barefooted every chance I could be.!! There were a variety of different types of Dirts, Clay, Rocks and even a few types of Edible EARTH that had all sorts of VITAMINS & MINERALS that had actual HEALING sources within. I left Texas to work in Corp. AMERICA, but I'm a proud "Earth & Country" Girl !!! 🤑🤑Corporate GREED🤑🤑 is what we Protested about on our college campus as well as our LAKES, BEACHES and FARMLAND FORESTRY, AIR POLLUTION was the BATTLE and now SMH, 🤢SMH, 🤮

Isn't it good, that all these different people could have a discussion, and not scream at each other, and call each other names, not try to take over the conversation, trying to force people to do it their way .. OR ELSE! Like Wokism. Like totalitarianism, or Marxism?

27:00 - "the most healing foods are plants." How do we navigate this whilst avoiding oxilates?

Not to mention all the other anti nutrients in plants. Plants aren't healing at all. Lots of buzz words and word salad, pun intended, in this video.

I’ve been veggie for almost 40 years, and although I’d never change it, it’s the hunger that I can’t shift. I just end up eating more and now I’m a fat vegetarian.
