How do u let God in? I want to be closer to God but I don't know how or if there's a way to do it. I wanna hear him and be closer but I don't know if there's a right or wrong way to do it. I believe he saved me when I almost died from giving birth to my twins. I know my heart stopped but how can I be close to him and thank him for his hand on me and my kids.

Set out a time, every day and read your bible and reflect! He'll start talking to you through the words in the Bible and then you'll start seeing and feeling him there, any time you're struggling!!

Through my struggles I found Jesus he has carried me this far. I keep faith. Even as I continue to struggle to support my children and myself I trust in you Jesus. Being a single mom things can be hard raising them alone. My husband passed years ago. Both of my children are autistic. I started homeschooling them last year and they are now thriving. I suffered a heart attack two years ago and Im battling lupus Lord I’m overwhelmed. As I struggle to pay my rent each month and as I struggle to buy groceries. I want to give up. But I know God will make a way. Where there seems to be no way. I have faith! God has not forgotten me. Faith First!

My Mama was a single mother raising 4 children. She worked 2 jobs to keep food on our table and with faith- she made a beautiful life for herself and all four of us. I lost her 3 yrs ago and she was SO excited to see Jesus. I know she is with him now and I KNOW she has the peace..mansion..and rest she very much deserves. Don't lose hope. Never let this scary world take your faith from you. EVERYTHING IS FOR SOMETHING and your rewards and crowns await you in Heaven one day. Trust that. Trust Jesus! 🙏💛💛🙏

I listened to BUT FIRST GOD after hearing Julie on a few podcasts and interviews last September on a trip to East coast. I too had a Come to Jesus meeting around 48.. here i am 15 years later and I have never looked back! Living with total surrender and The Holy Spirit living inside of me is a game changer! Yes, the Spirit is literal and neutral. What you ask for will eventually come to you but we must put skin into it. For me "No reaction" is something to keep in the forefront of the mind. I think the reason grandparents and great aunts and uncles keep saying simple things to younger members of the family, such as "I love you," is because they know that is the thing to say. Your good efforts are bearing fruit.
