Thanks for comment! Singing while you play piano can be a little tricky. This is a good song to try that with. You can always take it slower and keep an eye on the chord sheet for where 1 chord changes to another based on the word or syllable that’s being sung. One bit of advice for singing that I need to remember myself is ‘get a good supportive breadth’ breathing and listening are a big part of singing well. Good luck and have fun with it!

This was a perfect tutorial! It would be very helpful to have the sheet music up for a minute at the end of the video to look at and practice from or is it linked elsewhere?

Hey this has been extremely useful, many thanks Steve! Just wondering if you'd consider doing a tutorial on the left hand for this song? I find it so hard to use both hands, probably just takes time but im struggling to find a good song to practice. Thank you again!

You can play the first matching note for each chord with left hand. C G A F etc I wish he sang along the whole song with notes on the screen to follow along with.

I'm just learning but isn't the G Major chord G B D? Between the 2 black keys is the D????
@stevesongs12 жыл бұрын
Hi Cathy, yes that is a typo in that slide. The highlighted key is correct, I just incorrectly labeled it ‘E’ instead of ‘D’. Thanks for the comment.

G major chord shows (C B E) should be C B D ?
@stevesongs12 жыл бұрын
Yes good catch - the graphic for the G chord highlights the correct key to play but incorrectly labels it ‘E’ when it should say ‘D’

I’m a novice and may be wrong but you describe the G chord as GBE? Should it not be GBD?

why you are not using middle finger .?? are you familiar with fingering..?
@stevesongs14 жыл бұрын
oh sorry - in the other videos I say you can use either index finger or middle finger - whichever is more comfortable. these two note and three note chords are a starter to get familiar with chord structure - then when we expand to four notes the right hand chord gets inverted which is easier to play and gives more full sound. thanks

I’m not sure. Is it the verse or the chorus that doesn’t sound like the original? Or both? Can you make a video of you playing a verse and a chorus and send a link?
