I can't speak for everyone, but as for me (and my boys as well), they understand emotions of a musical piece MUCH better after hours of practice. And It's when all the notes have been learned and become an afterthought that I(we) can really enjoy the emotional expression of all of the dynamics, glissandos, changes of scales, interrupted cadences, chromatic climbs and falls, and just plain ol' gentle romantic melody over warm harmonic chords. This is my individual experience. I understand that it may not be this way for everyone and I am far from a pro musician. For all I know, his facial expressions truly are rehearsed and in his head he's thinking about what's for dinner and whether his rent is due or not.

Mama always said these very words to all of her children. It means more now than ever. She is gone now. Mom passed on her Birthday, March 8, 1931. My brother passed six weeks later. It has been so difficult to accept. The only way to find peace is to indeed let it go..I've since been told I have a tumor in my bladder. The doctors are throwing out bladder cancer. One thing I've learned from all of this is that there will always be a next. I can hear from the heavens these words she spoke to me time and again.

John Lennon has always been my favorite music. I have loved this song since the day it hit the airwaves. Many believe Mother Mary refers to the virgin Mary alas, that is not who Mother Mary is in "Let it Be." Mother Mary is Paul's Mother that came to him from the afterlife. Little did I know year's later that my favorite song would be my saving grace. I buried my son two years ago and the pain is as vivid as the day I learned of his passing. Let it be has gotten me through many a dark day. Ironically, my son died on Lennon's death day.

I still feel the ache in my heart whenever I listen to this song. This reminds me of the person whom I knew this cover from. Haven’t heard from him in a long time and I was left & still am, wondering what has become of him & us...? Many times in our lives, we won’t be able to find answers to our questions & that’s okay, there can be comfort in not knowing & to just go on with your life. The lyrics tells me to do as it says, let it be. 😊
