She might have been told not to for this particular performance since so many people are joining her on stage. Might have been seen as to much of a hazard. Unless they’ve changed the west end production since I seen it the curtains go down at the end of the song for the intermission so she can easily pick up the thing that’s holding the hair up as she leaves the stage.
