Sorry to hear about that. It’s ok to acknowledge your hurt and take time to heal. Spend time in the nature and let God’s nature calm you and let things go. Forgive him who left for God had a better plan for your life. You are more than just a relationship. Shine your strength, compassion and integrity to yourself, and to others. Every word Joel said here is absolute truth. Feel better for your new freedom. Love your self worth, respect your self. If others don’t see it or behave to give you due respect, don’t let such negativity into your life. You are doing really well trying to cope up. Thank goodness that lawless, low vibrational man left. Joel tells the story about a boy who grew up without a dad that walked out at age 5 and when the boy turned 30 the Dad decided to see him so the young man flew out to see his dad in another state he knocked on the door and some lady answered and said oh your dad changes mine he doesn't want to see you Joel said that this young man's attitude has been in a perpetual state of forgiveness and he still enjoys his life and learns to let It go as four beautiful children a wife very successful no one would ever guess that he didn't have a good childhood it's literally a choice if we can make it a habit to forgive fast not hold grudges not being vindictive our life will be prosperous and will still do amazing things unforgiveness holds us back it's so true right

@@naomiomoh9810 I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. I lost my mother in 2016 who suffered from kidney failure. It hurt so bad but I have accepted the fact that she is in a better place, she was a believer and I know she is in no more pain. God's grace is sufficient even when your heart is broken, it gets better with time(don't get me wrong, I still miss my mother). God is closer to you than you think, Psalms 34:18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit, lean unto Him and He will comfort and give you strength. I pray that you get peace in this difficult time.

You DON’T get over it….”Let it go” is for sins committed against you and guilt over sins you have committed, grief over a lost loved one is a separate thing….so relax…let the grief run it’s course…it will naturally change character over time, so you can live with it….that’s why God promises to wipe every tear from our eyes on judgement day, as He knows grief is longlasting. Just put your faith in Him and pursue salvation, so you will ensure you are one who will have His finger wipe your tears.

My best friend of 13 years has completely rejected me. Replacing me with other friends, traveling with others like we would, and doing these meaningful things we shared with others now. I've been a victim of a huge rejection this month and the past months. The people I know seemed to get cold on me. And whenever I text some, they only look at my message without a reponse. Everything about this sermon is so true. I carried hurt , anger, and simply just toxic energy for certain people who did me terribly wrong for years. I have FINALLY let it go. God has shown me in many ways that he’s been my vindicator. I thank him every single day for all the blessings he has bestowed on me. I believe we go through things so we turn to him. We get tested. One of my relatives got physically harmed by a person of trust many years ago. From what I heard it was bad. I asked her how she let things go, she said for her own sanity I learned to forgive and if she didn’t it would’ve eaten away at her. Just like Joel, she said to let it go. For those who are finding it hard to let go of the hurts, pains....things done by others to you; I'm telling you it is truth that you cannot move forward in your life without choosing to forgive those who've done you wrong. Do not wake up another day allowing unforgiveness to remain in your spirit. Consuming this only hinders you in your walk and growth of becoming the best version of yourself. Let God be your vindicator & deal with the foolishness of your enemies & those that have done you wrong. Trust.... God knows all & sees all. Joel is missing one of the most important elements of the Christian walk. It's not about forgiving for your sake or to make yourself free. That's not at all what Jesus did. Jesus gained nothing from saving and forgiving us. We forgive in the hopes that others will be free. The more you focus on yourself, the worse things will be for you. The more you focus on loving others (which is an action not a feeling), things may not be better for you, but you will be more like Jesus and that will be enough and you will have joy from that Joel's deception here is kind of genius. It takes spiritual discernment to see, not that I have special discernment but it simply comes from reading God's word more. He speaks words that are positive and affirming while slowly weaving a message that leaves the audience focused on loving themselves before loving their enemies. Being a Christ follower isn't about self betterment. It's about glorifying God whom we have sinned against. We don't forgive others for our sake. We forgive for their sake. This is not a message of selflessness. It is glorification of the self disguised by positive buzz words. Pray for Joel to be saved

My ex with 5 year relationship broke up with me 2 months ago. In January 2022 I gave up everything to move to the Netherlands where he stays. I did the language courses, proceeded with the Visa (residence permit), resigned from my job, away from my family. I invested my time, efforts and energy into this relationship. Our goal was to be married but then his priorities changed and he said not ready for a marriage. I feel my heart is shattered. Now I’m jobless, my mom is sick, everyday I pray to God so He gives me strength to get through this. I know that God removed him because I got lost in the relationship. I should love myself more and most important switch back my focus to Jesus. This too shall pass. Amen❤️
