Much has already been said about this version. I don't feel like adding anything special. Agree pretty much with those who don't feel much attracted from this version. The only point on which I feel like dissenting is on the comments on her pronunciation. Many Italians don't like her accent. I personally find it adorable!

I love Violetta Italian and French are both Roman languages just like Spanish and they're VERY similar... I speak French and i can read a lot of Italian without ever even having learned it for more than two weeks.

Yes, many words and grammar concepts are the same. If French was pronounced like Spanish and Italian (many less vowels, no nasals) I think it would be the closest language to Italian.

FlamSparks Ahahah, ma non era per fare la ruffiana, sia chiaro! Valutando la qualità dei video, dell'audio, delle traduzioni, e facendo poi un confronto con altri, viene spontaneo pensarlo e quindi dirtelo! ;) Riguardo la richiesta, mi piacerebbe tanto poter ascoltare (e comprendere al meglio) “Gli amici nell'aldilà” da La principessa e il ranocchio, in tedesco e norvegese. Ma non ho fretta alcuna!

I'm not really a fan of Martina or Violetta, but the Italian pop version is my favorite pop version of Let It Go (ironically, the Spanish pop version is my least favorite).

Well, it's actually pretty evident that she's not a native speaker, since she mispronounces more or less evidently a lot of words. I think the most evident case is the way she pronounced the word "freddo" (aw, she sounds so cute to me :3)

SlavicDubs yes it’s VERY evident . I’ll give you some examples : She can’t correctly pronounce the G in Words like Già . Hers is not very strong and she kind of pronounces it like a j. She pronounces the d like the spanish do which is wrong . The spanish d is more like a “th” in the . While in italian it is just a strong d. The way she pronounces the r . I can’t put my finger on the problem but all spanish speakers do it . Minor differences in how long or short she pronounces the E and I . Also the italian Es are kind of opened so you’re supposed to pronounce them a little less strongly . Those are the obvious differences if you’re still curious .

Accent doen't matter. Almost every accent has been modified from standard italian (but it is comprensible), but its a common pratice in Italian (and I guess in other languages too) for musical reasons

+FlamSparks Il problema è che hanno "strumentalizzato" la protagonista di una serie che ha avuto molto successo tra le ragazzine. Ragazza famosa, film capolavoro in tutto il mondo e l'Italia ha deciso bene di far interpretare il brano più bello a lei per farsi pubblicità. Ho sentito anche la versione spagnola e, gusti miei ovviamente, a me non piace come canta. Ha una voce piacevole come ce ne sono milioni, ma a me non piace! Penso solamente che tra le tante grandi interpreti italiane che avrebbero potuto risaltare al meglio un brano così siano andati a darlo proprio a una che italiana non è solo perché è molto famosa! Poteva anche essere inglese, francese, africana, poco importava

Because it's an expression that does not exist in Italian, and even its closest translation counts many more syllables than "let it go" which only has 3. Hence, it would be impossible to sing it. Not to mention, problems of rhymes and lip-synch for the movie version

While i love your work, and your translations are usually flawless, i just wanted to point this out. your English translation for "Lascero` che il freddo non sia un problema mio" isn't quite right. While you translation is quite literal it would make more sense, in English, if it read as "I won't let the cold be my problem."

+tailz555 First out, thank you for your compliments, dear ^-^ Secondly, I remember that sentence really drove me crazy. The problem was mainly the division of the lines: while in the first line she only says "I'll let, I'll let", the negation is placed in the following line. So my concern was to make sure that the translation could well reflect the actual content of the line. This means that, although I knew that a translation like "I won't let the cold be my problem" would have been much more correct, I just prefered translating "lascerò" literally, rather than adding a negation where there was none yet. Anyway, what you're saying is correct, and what I did is merely a personal choice, but it's definitely true that was surely not the most _English-like_ sentence I've ever produced ^^"

***** I was only being honest when I said that I love your work, I really do. I understand where you are coming from with the division of the lines. One time during my combined Italian class the year below mine, had a similar issue when translating a poem. I agree with you that adding the negation would not reflect the meaning of that line alone, and this may have confused some people. I commend you on your ability to translate such a line in a way that keeps it's original context but still relays the meaning clearly. Well done. ^-^

+tailz555 Thank you...I'm always indescribably pleased when I read this sort of comments...seriously :) Anyway, as a rule, when a sentence screeches too much in English, I usually opt for a more personal and free translation, as I think a translation should first of all feel correct in the destination language. That's why I'm not really satisfied with that passage, as you correctly pointed out ^-^
