All Kanae wanted was for Shinobu to live in peace. But when her younger sister refused to, Kanae's spirit, although certainly broken hearted, understood she had no choice but to ensure her sister won. Hopefully, avenging her would be what the Insect Pillar needed to move on from the demon slayers. But when even that failed, ensuring she died in peace became the priority. The story of the Butterfly sisters is a very sad one. I hope poor Kanao can move on with her life.

actually, when Kanae was fighting Douma, he was Uppermoon 6 but since he gave Gyutaro and Ume blood that's what made him Uppermoon 2. That's what i read.
