Guys I just realized something: In Granny, you have five days to escape, and every time you're caught, you lose a day. In the musical, the captive (Gwen)is caught four times, meaning that last stretch is a true race against the clock because it's game over if she's caught that final time. (Which she is, but Granny happens to catch her while the latter is holding a chainsaw, so the captive easily wins that fight.)
