Let me shine: a song for World Autism Awareness Day 2017. Please share.

To mark World Autism Awareness Day on 2nd April, Prior’s Court are releasing a new song, ‘Let Me Shine’, created in collaboration with Oxford band Low Island. The young people from Prior’s Court performing on the track have severe autism, most are non-verbal and all face immense challenges every day as a result of their autism. ‘Let Me Shine’ is an uplifting song and video with a message for World Autism Awareness Day calling for acceptance and understanding across the spectrum: Accept me for who I am and let me shine.

🦋This might have been put on KZbin 3 years ago but I'm hearing it for the very first time on March the 18th of 2021 this is an extraordinary message that is put out by phenomenal people I hope that everyone gets to hear and enjoy every word of the lyrics that they are saying. I have a son with autism and he is a phenomenal and an extraordinary young man and has taught me more than I could ever ever have taught him. Just beautiful. I have a grandson who is autistic. He’s having a hard time right now. His parents watch him closely. He doesn’t want to be different. He’s also an Eagle Scout.
