Honestly I love when the show points out how ridiculous it is on its own. With quips like amanda saying "they have warring karate dojos" and here when terry is like "I really obsessed with terrorizing a teenager over a high school karate tournament." But then they go right back into it lol. They know they are extra and campy af but rather than tone it down they just say screw it we're committing to this

Ed Asner who played Johnny's step father is a legend. He played Carl in UP, Him and betty white last year were the last remaining main cast members of the mary tyler moore show that were alive unfortunately not anymore :( he was also Hudson on Gargoyles, granny goodness on the Justice League cartoons, and J. Jonah Jameson on the 90s spiderman cartoons and many many other roles. Also an advocate of worker's rights and advocacy for victims of poverty and social injustice. A true king RIP

Love this show! How other ones take note from this one. Don't need overly complicated twists. This show does simple twists but does so many at once that it still feels exciting cuz your trying to keep track of all the good well written characters. For clarification: The Hapsburgs were a European royal family notorious for inbreeding issues and being stuck up AF. Even for medieval times. The Spanish branch were known for a distinctive jawline that was likely the result of a birth defect that kept getting passed down. It's a really weird/insulting way to describe someone's jaw. He probably meant it as some sort of compliment for a prominent jawline, but he came off like a twit. While I'm at it, I would like to mention Charles II who was a Hapsburg and one of the most deformed examples of inbreeding known to man. Charles II had the famous Hapsburg Jawline, was definitely deformed, and suffered from severe mental defects that ensured he'd never rule. It sounds exaggerated, but the doctor who did the autopsy wrote, “(The body) did not contain a single drop of blood; his heart was the size of a peppercorn; his lungs corroded; his intestines rotten and gangrenous; he had a single testicle, black as coal, and his head was full of water."
