Just finished watching this video. You know you've found the right channel when a 4 hour long video doesn't feel that long and the guy who's building the XL makes you the viewer feel right at home because he's over there genuinely enjoying building his machine and you're over here happily watching him build it. Good times.

I sure hope Prusa don't start making furniture, can you imagine, you receive your "semi assembled table" which consists of a few blocks of wood with instructions on how to turn, drill, plane, glue and clamp, all for a measly $3,500
@3DMusketeers Жыл бұрын
Given the price of actually decent furniture, that is not too far off....

Just think about when it needs servicing or parts replaced in the future and how you won't need to send it away or hire a tech, just do it yourself

definitely worse options out there!!

Auto focus is for taking pictures of your cat. For all else, manual focus. ;)
@3DMusketeers Жыл бұрын
no chance I can have manual focus everywhere and still have a good show live. It takes too much effort when I am also trying to communicate with people, get the project done, and more.

He thanks for doing this kind of videos! I was really wondering how is it going so far with your XL. Did you encountered any issues like some of other users have currently? I'm interested to buy this printer, but not 100% sure yet.
@3DMusketeers Жыл бұрын
no major ones yet that werent my own fault. I am still getting used to the satin sheet, may pick up a smooth one. Do note though, if you ordered today, it may take a LONG time to get one, so any issues now likely wont exist in the future. I am working on tuning the wipe towers for multi material and not have it break

@3DMusketeers I don't associate with them anymore. I donated a lot of money an time and was disrespected so I left on good terms but I hold a grudge. I'm not the type to cause trouble. They would ask for help and I'd do what they asked and be told my behavior was unstable. I shouldn't have ever told them about my mental illness. They are managed by people who are way over their head but were given 20 million to buy gear so our little town has the coolest makerspace in the world I suspect in which no knew knows what they're doing or how blessed they are. I told your brother about part of it. But I'd like to try to make something to mimic their rolls of filament to drop the price. They have a 25k markforge as well that broke but no one to fix it. They don't trust me so I can't try. I donated over 8k worth of electronics learning gear and components but since I have mental ilness they played with my goof nature. My wife (who is highly educated and wouldn't lie for me) sent their board of directors a complaint but I got a non apology, apology so I broke off communication with them. It's a shame because I could've done alot of good there. I suspect I'll be buying their equipment when they goes into liquidation. It's a shame and hate to see it though. I have a free lifetime membership but never use it. I have all the gear I need here. I wish I had more but I'm a cup half full kinda guy haha.

Good eye. Yes it is. The 72in one I believe that's height adjustable. It's a pain to adjust though so set where you like it LOL. It's heavyyyyy

3:37:51 re:wiring management. I would agree that it would have not made any difference if continued your initial wiring path and i personally would have preferred it that way. I wasn't a fan of the cable bending.

yeah, it was a bit of a pain both ways lol, but the result, as I was told, is quite worth it.
