Takom actually molds their roadwheels without seam lines along the rubber. Saves so much time! They use one of the two metal mold halves to model the entire wheel and the other half as a mainly flat plate so the seam would be just along the tyre's edge where it is not noticeable.

Let me say first that I help restore real tanks and get to operate them in reenacting. I like your modeling videos a lot. On this one it is very rare to see a concrete up-armored tank to day. I saw one years ago at a event that was faked with plywood chicken wire and spackled with brick mortor. I like the stowage in that it has American and German fuel cans as well as a water cooled machinegun can, that was used for potable water as well. You need to have a 5gal potable water can. Most tanks are seen with the. They are not made the same way as fuel cans. Keep up the good work.

Final comment - Trumpeter produce excellent grab-handle jigs - 3/4/5mm.. Just insert thin brass wire and KER-CHUNKA, you can punch out great grab rail forms that only need clipping (depending if you want inserted straight ends or surface weld end handles). I can personally recommend them over using forceps / pliers.

Great to see you showing one of the main strengths of 1/48th scale, great results in a very short build time. I'm looking forward to your take on the paint job. I'd love to know how the crew kept the concrete attached to the hull and not just have it peal off. Man, what would a anti-tank round hit look like on that concrete armour? Uncle night shift. You can use less hardener with epoxie putties to slow the curing time. I do it with Aves to where I always end up with some hardener leftovers. Try it out some time. You have a limit to how much you can skip out on before it never cures. For the most part it's forgiving, given you mix them well. I swear by Aves,I like it better than Tamiya due to it's softness. Try Aves fix it sculpt,it might work better for weld beads since it's alot harder than regular sculpt. They have a paste, wich I dilute with denatured alcohol to thin it out,I then take my left over Aves and sand it to make powder. I mix said powder to the paste to add cast texture. As a foundry man I know texture to well, and that trick nails it every time.😉 Cheer's uncle night shift, from California.

Hi unlce Night Shift. After thinking and thinking I finally decided to do the armor texture with epoxy putty since you are a great base of inspiration! Thus, when I started playing with the putty, I some thoughts came to my mind. First, how do you clean the brush that you used to apply the putty if that's even possible? Also what do you use? And how/with what should I clean the excess putty if there's some on surfaces that shouldn't have texture at all due to the way of casting the metal steel plates? As far as I went texturing the tank, it looks nice but yeah, I'm sure it can be improved a lot. Thanks for all your tips!

The way you assembled the tracks is very handy, but when I tried it on my Tamiya 1/48 Type 10, the links disconnected even after at least 5 minutes of letting the glue set. Looks like I will have to paint the parts (including the running gear), then painfully glue the tracks directly on to the tank. Yay... Also General Patton must be big mad because of moving bunker tank. It looks good

Have you have try to knap a levallois point? As a flintknapper I can say that these neanderthal technique is considerably more complicate than simply apply concrete on a tank! This is my 1 to 3 % neanderthal genes are crying when I ear something I don't appreciate about theirs. It is important to stop to use neanderthal as symbol as non technological men. I learn their techniques since more than 20 years (and give formation about it as a prehistorian) and it is incredibly complicate for a modern sapiens to understand their skills. Indeed your videos about modelling are stunning. Formidable.
