I love to see my dashboard being used as a thumbnail for someone's video. I should get a commission 😂

Haha, cheque's in the post. I was looking for the best dashboards for inspiration and then I saw yours and thought that's cool, I'm going to use it.

@WootonRivers Where can I find more info on your dashboard? You don't have any vids or links in your channel!

I attempted to learn kubernetes several times over the past years giving up in frustration every time. - until I discovered your videos. Now I got a decent homelab with proxmox and k3s working like a charm. I am working for a software company that decided to enable deployment to kubernetes for the whole product suite. your videos enable me to understand what this means for our customers. So your work is probably worth more to me than my contribution to you, James. Thank you!

Ohh the rabbit hole is deep with Home Assistant. I'm just getting started.

Awesome, there's a ton of great stuff it can do. Good luck 🍀

@@Jims-Garage Agree. Just deciding with the hardware to use is a rabbit hole in and of it alone and is overwhelming. This is gonna take a while.

Great video, I have started using Home Assistant also with docker installation and it's working well, looking forward to more videos from this series

Nice vid. I was just hoping you would also explain how to install Hacs with Home assistant in Docker

I'll come onto that in the next video for home automation (it's pretty straightforward).

What is the name of the temperature card? Looks interesting.
@Jims-Garage2 ай бұрын
I think it's this one vertical-stack-in-card - it's custom and allows you to stack items in a single card.

Nice video Jim! May I ask what brand (name and type) are you using for measuring the light level? I also would like to see a video of migrating al the data (espacially the P1 and Solar) from a RPI to a docker instance of HASS (not importing a backup, then i have all the data, but i only want the one i mentioned)

Hello, Thank you for the video. Do you think you can make a guide for setting this up in the Ugreen NAS 480T? Are you still running Proxmox on it or should I just setup Docker on Ugreen OS and go from there?
@Jims-Garage6 ай бұрын
I would install Proxmox on it, you'll have far more support.

@@Jims-Garage Thank you. And another question, is the internal boot drive 2242 M2 or NVME?

In the beginning of the video you promise to ‚share your kubernetes deployment‘ but you never mentioned kubernetes again. Or did I miss it?

Noticed a typo in your traefik docker labels, namely the third line: jimsgarge insted of jimsgarage.

Nice video! Very well explained! What's the reason you're using PostgreSQL as a database? Since somewhere last year, home assistant team is specifically recommending to use the SQLite database.
@Jims-Garage6 ай бұрын
Thanks, purely because it's faster when you have lots of devices.

I don't use portainer now as I use OMV7, and testing Dockge. But what I find best for docker logs is Dozzle, it's really nice and saves having to use Portainer 😊

great video, i tried deploying before and I think it must have been using sqlite. How did you integrate HACS ? IM so confused how to add that and I really want the alex integration, or at least play with it. I couldn't understand the benefits of home assistant until you explained that sensors can be anything, even phones, then the light bulb went on :)
