It would be so fun if Sims devs would put in an option to change a single home grid into a multi-home playable grid. Even if we just had one more option so we could do something like 3 townhomes connected, side-by-side or a 3 level apt unit. Even if we could only play one at a time --having your eye on your other sims as they ran wild on the same lot would be fun.

If you're a reader, there's a great series of books called Rivers of London by Ben Aaronovitch, it explores the cultures of different British communities, and has a massive focus on British history and architecture. I think you'd really enjoy it! I'm not British, so I've learned a lot about British cultures from those books, and from this series. I was reminded of it because the main character grew up in a council flat, and one of the books revolves around a particular block of flats in London.

My cousin lived in one of these flats but hers was a Maisonette and I used to think it was so cool because it has two floors I was like “oooh penthouse” even though it was this type of style. My sister lives on an estate similar to this, and all the flats on the bottom floor either have a type of garden (With a fence) or a little patio blocked off! I just wanted to say thank you so much for this build and making me feel represented. I grew up on a council estate and watching this come together honestly feels so much like home for me. I have to say that it really is pot luck as to whether you get the sense of community you mention, as in my experience we had some pretty awful and judgemental neighbours - ironically they all came from privately owned homes round the corner from us and treated us very badly for not having much. But now as an adult, any time I meet a fellow 'council house kid' I suddenly feel connected to them like we are family. That's to say that watching this has evoked an oddly welcome feeling during lockdown, so thank you!
