Ello my dears!
We are back on Cobblebottom Row today, back with Detective Miller's little cottage. We finish today by furnishing the whole cottage and having a little tour around. I'll be back next week with another home and new sim to add to this lot! ENJOY!

Can I suggest upstairs in their office if they are investigating looking for the killer that they have a big notice board that they are trying to work out the mystery on with photos of suspects and I know you can’t do the lines between them with string but you could do little postcards of locations or little bits of paper or signs from debug that could act as post it’s with notes on of why stuff is relevant or something.

Just to let you know that the coat rack from Snowy Escape has got a footprint and blocks sims from going up and down the stairs, at least in my experience. Beautiful house once again, but I just wanted to warn you ☺️

I must say, your videos come out around 2pm here in Brazil, so it's after lunch, right when my energy levels are kind of meh and I want to give up work and just take a nap. But then the video is out and I'm excited to have your company to kick-off the afternoon part of my work. So thank you.

If you want to place an object outside but don't want it to block a sim's path, you can go down to the basement level, turn on the grid, place it there without making a room, and lift it up with the T.O.O.L. mod. You can even move it outside the lot with the mod and it will still be considered part of the basement, so it won't block paths on the ground floor. It will have outside lighting and weather effects (like snow piling up on it), too. This might solve your problems with the footpath!

You may have seen me comment it on the last video, but I really kinda think that it would be cool if one of the detectives had birdwatching as a cover for keeping an eye on the village with binoculars and stuff. Maybe Rose has a balcony on the back of her cottage, where she watches birds (and the goings on in the town, with all these hooded people showing up in history and the present). It would also tie into Sean's hiking and outdoorsy hobbies, if she actually likes watching birds beyond the cover story. It could fit really well with the village, some small tucked away villages near water are famous for birdwatching after all, especially with migrating cranes, storks and waterfowl.

You could achieve the outdoor connecting walkway by using the stone ‘rug’ from Get Together

Next to the tire in front of the house is a perfect place for a bin. You could add the portrait of Miller's dad in the office. Maybe he was also a detective but died many years ago in strange circumstances.

I know we're a bit away from getting to the person who owns the bakery/landlord but would it be interesting if their daughter was the Detective's ex that got away. So ex does frequently visit Cobblebottom row often to either visit their parent or even assists in the bakery, and knows how the detective likes to take his coffee.
