Having access to the roof just gave me an idea. It’d be super cool to have secret passageways hidden about the manor. Like using those bookshelf doors! Maybe in some of the bedrooms leading to the basement or the office? 🤔

Adding to this the access to the roof could be through a secret door in the bedroom to not mess with floor plans too much

Those two narrow walls that have the rounded entrance to the courtyard could also be perfect for a hidden narrow staircase to the basement. Definitely love the idea of a secret passageway!!

This extension with access to the roof could be the kinda rebel-nature-loving teenager's bedroom! I can imagine him having his own safe escape place where he could look at the stars with his friends! Maybe a hangout place on the roof?! Or maybe he likes to sleep under the stars sometimes?

There is a way. You put in the bannister/fence first as it's own room. It must class a room - you can have walls next to it, so long as it's entirely enclosed, it will not work other. Remove the floor tiles, you will be left with grass/the ground. Put a room directly below in the basement. It must be entirely enclosed (it's a basement, so that's the rule anyway. You need to select the room, go up, then remove the ceiling. Put in ya stairs, with the top overlapping the bannister/fence. Hey presto, no annoying square. You can also do this if you want it walls on every side. You just make the bit that the stairs open to at the top a fence piece.

gawd, I just really admire your capacity to crack on with such a HUGE build. It looks so beautiful so far, I really liked it at night! I can never spend this much time on big builds unless I catch the hyperfixation bug, my dopamine and patience usually runs out after a couple hrs and then I don't end up doing what I planned to in the first place haha. EDIT: I HATE the lips as well, and I often push counters into the walls and dont have issues. When I have move objects on, I'm pretty sure other counters will snap into the one i've buried into the wall, and i think they still function

Love this build!😍 How about two pictures of the dogs over their bathtub, like a obsession with the dogs, maybe even bigger statement pieces around the house with a fancy frame! 💅🏼😆 you can use existing frames or mirrors over pictures I think!🤔

I loved these spaces! My only tip would be to put a few dog portraits in the bathroom, and maybe a few horse paintings in the stable office. 🥰

Regarding the stairs to the basement you need to build the fence above the beginning of the stairs, then the game considered it as a room and you can delete the floor. It’s like if you build a fundament with fence. You can add stairs above the fence. Hope you understand what I mean. 🙈

Access to the roof could be by way of an old hidden servant's hallway. I feel like these old manor houses didn't want the maids to be seen going about their work. It would be a great excuse to use one of the bookshelf doors.

I've been on a DB kick and rn I'm rewatching the Hargroves mansion from Willow Creek. I love these super long builds. I love seeing it come together and no matter the style of build Aden always nails them! So satisfying!

And as the other commets suggest - a secret passage would be a great idea! If not in this lot, maybe another? I feel that old British houses are a great prerequisite for this.

I very much loved the little nook that houses the sink! I was looking at the thumbnail and felt it was very intentional, it even feels like the room could have been designed that way on purpose. Just thinking about someone manning the sink during meal preparations, washing all the dishes as they're used and such, and you don't want them in the walkways, but with the nook everyone can go behind them.

I’m sure you already tried it, but just in case: when I want to get rid of a floor tile to open up a stairway like the one you have in the boot room, remove the stairs and create a “room” under the tile in the basement, delete the ceiling and then the walls, put the stairs back in, and on the first floor create the same room over the tile and then you should be able to delete the floor and walls again.
