Was hoping to get Part 2 out this week, but I've been super busy trying to finish another project that landed in my lap (Bandai 1/100 Sazabi) and have been a bit crook (aka sick) most of this week with a bad back/neck from lifting too much weight! Stay tuned for next week instead - cheers, Chris

The beach base on that Corsair is sweet. I've never seen the kit with the engine. I've built a few of these in my time. Such memories.

Thanks Jim, hope you're doing well. Good to see you on instagram too, I think migrating to there away from FB is the future....cheers Chris

I am well. Trying to survive the apocalypse. Hope you and yours are well. I finally made myself realize that FB is just too toxic for my mental health. Lol. I'm glad I got out before all the Covidiot stuff or I'd really be crazy. I still like to share and see others work though, so I'm finding other outlets. I cant believe I watched you work in an airplane wheels down though. That's going to take some getting used to.

I've seen that aircraft in real life at warbirds over Wanaka

Nice start mate, some neat detailing going on there!

Thanks mate, I couldnt help myself with the engine....might see if I do some riveting or not. Cheers Chris
@MrKov19853 жыл бұрын
@@beckersmodels definitely riveting. If you hairspray it, the rivets themselves are the first to strip, and it looks a million dollars. Particularly on a Corsair.

Nicely done mate, the Tamy Corsair 1/48 is the first kit I purchased getting back into the hobby just over two years ago... its still in the box and I haven't touched it! This has given me some enthusiasm for it again I think!!

Get it out and get it done! Its an easy kit to build if you go wheels down - I would have been finished by now if I did that!

Some very nice, convincing work and detailing!! They are looking great, I prefer to have mine with flaps down and wings folded but that's me.
@Iskelderon3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that advice on connecting the wings! That's certainly more structurally sound. No idea why the manufacturer didn't just include an optional "inner sleeve" piece to serve that purpose.

Very nice workmanship and detailing. On the flying version, how you position the pilots hands on the stick, or just not bother? Thanks.
@beckersmodels3 жыл бұрын
Thanks EJ. Unfortunately the stock Tamiya pilot is pretty crude, just hands in lap. I usually replace them with an Aerobonus resin one with hands on throttle/stick but went the OOB route for this build. Cheers Chris

Hi Chris, Good to see a KIWI🇳🇿 F4U I really think another one is in order 😜. Are you going to drill out the exhausts? It's good to see you back.
@beckersmodels3 жыл бұрын
Indeed! Got to represent the Kiwi Corsair! If I do an F4U-1D I might even do a NMF Kiwi version....exhaust drill out? Nah sounds like a lot of work!

Hi. Building this now. Thanks for the video. I didnt catch the name of the white tape substance that you used for the wings. What exactly is that?
@beckersmodels2 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell, its just very thin sheet styrene, cheers Chris

@@beckersmodels Thanks. Building it now. Was having some difficulty with getting the wing parts glued together in down position. Think I finally got but it's delicate.

Hey Chris, I'm curious, did you finish the vignette of the girl on the tank turret?... I discovered your channel a few days ago and am glad to see this. It's nice to have you back!
@beckersmodels3 жыл бұрын
Its literally on the bench right now, I'm adding some cast armor texture to the turret at the moment, then will begin painting. Hope to show it soon, cheers and thanks!
