I’m new to candle making (2/3 months in) Been using 464 USA and I’m really not loving it so far. (Maybe I should persist a bit longer) Massively lacking hot throw on most fragrances I’ve used. Long cure time is frustrating, too! 🙈 I’m thinking of changing over to Ecococo Container Blend. Just found your channel today, will be working through your videos! Hope you’re feeling better 🙏🏼🤗

Hello, I hope that you are well! A very warm welcome to my youtube channel and to the candle making community! I had the same struggles with the US 464 and EU 464! You can always give it another go but if you feel like you are wasting your time forcing a wax to work then I definitely recommend to alternate. Haha the cure time for me is long too 😂 Eco coco a wax that I used but I personally don’t recommend - I struggled with hot throw so much and wick performance but your experience could be different. I recommend picking up a sample pack so you dont buy in bulks. I am so grateful that you found me and thank you for your kind words, feeling alot better with a slight cough that doesn’t seem to go away 😂🤍 Happy Candle Making and keep going!

What wax works best for you? I’m really struggling with a lot of fragrances. Testing all different wicks and waxes but nothing is consistent 🫤

Good question , I find that RCX and S41 have worked the best for me so far! Kerasoy is a good wax in terms of hot throw too but wicking it is a nightmare! Fragrances I want to make a video about this actually, what supplier do you use? What waxes have you used so far and wicks? Sorry for all my questions, just so I can have an idea of your testing process so far x

@@mawahebhome finding better results with a mixture of AO5 and ecococo, fragrance hot throw though can be an issue! Not yet found a wick that suits all fragrances. Warm wax to 60*C adding fragrance oil (8%), mix for 3 minutes and pour into warmed glasses. Been following you for a while and been getting same results. So it depends on fragrance oil and wick 🕯️

@@megbeg0204 A05 and eco coco are both waxes that are challenging to wick , I have personally tried both and experienced similar results to yours. Your hot throw , can you not smell it at all? Have you ever tried working with a soy wax? Maybe the waxes are just not the one for you! I was working with kerasoy for 3 years and I still have challenges to wick it but it does have a good hot throw. RCX and S41 did not disappoint and wicking is alot better I personally found. I enjoy the fragrance oils from Cosy Owl, some scents are stronger than others but they don’t work with every wax such A05 , eco coco but they work well with Kerasoy , S41 , RCX x It is a long process and it does get very frustrating and difficult sometimes but I do believe you will reach the results you are looking for. If the wax is not working , change the wax x Your pouring and your FL sounds perfect to me
