That Alquier Space Wow has an interesting story. It was originally sold by Destroy All Guitars for $5500. It was sold to a Guitar Center in Houston about a year ago and was listed at something like $3800. It sat and the price was reduced to $1700 a few weeks ago. Looks like the Reverb seller bought it and is trying to make a nice profit. It's kinda of sad that I even know any of this. I thought about buying it at $1700 but I didn't want another two humbucker guitar.

Ha, crazy! Funny how some guitars just bounce around like crazy. I did see it via a Google cache page at the Guitar center in Houston for $2199, so I know that's the maximum of what the guy paid. Didn't know it fell all the way to $1700 haha. Might be fun to mess around with for that. No one is going to buy it for $4400 :P

I think part of why I'm into the revstar is because they're kindof an underdog 🤣 and they look good, and they're not just another super strat I guess? Not that you buy too many super strats, but the revstar stands out a bit 🤷‍♂️😅

Hah yeah fair point. Used price on them is pretty decent too, so I bet there are a fair amount of people who want to know if paying extra for the MIJ is worth it. Not that I have the budget model to compare to on hand :/ haha.

I'd like to see a review (don't care about the look, the paint etc) of the best Suhr entry-level Strat-style guitar compared to the entry-level PRS strat.

That's probably a Silver Sky vs a Suhr Standard Pro, right? I think the Suhr Modern Satin can be had for cheaper, but they're a bit more modern than a regular strat. I've yet to play a Silver Sky. Heard really good things about them.

There's a similar-looking Zerberus with the same style pickups for under $700 used at my local Guitar Center - I guess it's some kimd of import version? A little goofy-looking but fun to play.

@@TheGuitarPit it seems like they had a line called MkII at one point that sells for much less money. Same crazy shapes, fewer wild high-end decorations. Not sure where they were made - not much info online about the brand.

I’m not sure you’re my wife’s favorite channel but I like ya Chris. Good ramp up to the Kiesel, I've seen Granite Block Floyd Rose 7 String Bubinga guitars sell for 2.5. Still kicking myself. Yeah I'm looking for an original Jackson custom Snakeskin from the DeMartini era, which would have had an original Floyd Rose and Maple neck. Just never see them, they were so common.

Hah! Sorry to annoy her doubly with bad audio this week. A snakeskin would be really neat and retro. I feel like they'd come up used pretty often even 10 years ago...but now, it's pretty uncommon. Friedman had a ridiculous tele with the snakeskin look that cracked me up. The Guitar Pit, our daughters are in their 20s. Her daughter is named Alexis Nicole, and one of my daughters has the same name! Last names differ, of course. I've been really interested in the revstar since its launch. I've purchased other guitars in the meantime but always wanting one in the back of my mind. I think its because for a long time my main guitar was a yamaha and to this day im still impressed and inspired when i play it even though i own guitars that cost me four times as much. Looking forward to both the revstar and suhr demos!!

Very cool. Yeah they are neat, but I just am surprised it did so well in the poll. It's a decent guitar, but at $1699 you're in used Suhr/PRS/other stuff territory. Used price, yeah that's a different deal. For what I paid, it's pretty competitive, certainly.

Here in Australia though Yamaha are one of the brands that are of a similar price that you get over there where as if i wanted a suhr (which i would absolutely love one) they are just so expensive here, even used. I did manage to snag a prs core for a great deal but even thats pretty rare. I do love your latest suhr though, what a rad guitar that is!

I can vouch for the vanquish. It was my first build and I went simple and got birdseye board and engraved truss rod and for 1225 with hardshell case I got a guitar that I will keep forever! Their standard neck profile is a perfect fit for my hands and I felt it immediately and have bought 2 more since! So I highly recommend people try them out.

Never played a Kiesel that played bad. So if you want to maximize playability, buy the least popular shape in the worst color used. It'll still absolutely rip! Merry Christmas :)

So far I'd say the Sterling Valentine has been my least favorite I've reviewed. It was b-stock so it's probably not fair. Either way, hopefully $500+ you get something at least playable. Never know though lol.

@@TheGuitarPitI'm not a Gibson or fender hater but if you go to any guitar center and grab a few of either brands in their sub $1000 options you would find something dreadful pretty quickly lol particularly cheap Gibson SG's... at least the ones our local store has been struggling to sell for years are soooo inconsistent and poorly set up sometimes, gotta factor in that all the guitars on the sales floor there are rough cuz kids play them all day though lol
