Hello, very nice work.💝 I have a question, what were the two liquids you combined and poured?

Hi, thank you! this is Smooth-on resin, smooth-cast 305. It comes in two parts, part A is a hardener and part B is resin itself. To make it work you need to mix it.

May I ask where you got your pressure pot from? I’ve never seen that kind before. I’m looking for good vacuum and pressure pots for when I get to the molding and casting point for my dolls. Lovely work as always ❤

Hi, thank you! The pot is handmade, I bought it from random guy on local online market:) but there is pressure pot from companies like smooth-on, it just hard to get in my country 🤷♀️

Do you use a vacuum chamber and pressure pot for doll casting perhaps? How do they come out so beautifully for you without bubbles?

Hi! I use pressure pot, I wish I could use vacuum chamber also, but I have too fast cured material. But anyway, most of the time pressure pot is enough

Hi, I have a question. What did you use to add color to the resin and what part of the A and B did you add it to?

Hi! I am using Smooth-on So strong tints, I add them into part B

Could you please explain how you make the cast hollow!!! I don't really get it if it goes in pressure pot for 40 min it'll be completely solid right!! Do you pour our some of the rasin after it cured a little like porcelain casting or is it the way you make the mold!! I would love to have some info in it.. If you would please 😊

Hi! If you want to make the parts hollow right after the casting, you need to make the molds with the ‘pipes’, the silicone can bend so it is possible to take the detail out. But I usually just drill the details like legs and hands. This resin can’t be casted like porcelain, this materials are very different..

How many dolls can you make from the same mold? I heard that silicon molds deteriorate with each cast, is it true?
@katesamostudio Жыл бұрын
Hi! I haven’t tried to reach the limit yet🫣 it depends on the silicone actually, the mold star 15 is very soft, so I don’t think that it will live long, just because the thin parts in the molds will fray..
