I enjoy watching you catch fish. It just shows all of us, it don't take a $50,000 to $100,000 boat to catch fish day after day. Us common folks has just as much chance to be successful every day we go fishing. Please keep your videos coming. We appreciate what your doing.

Depends on conditions, if im fishin pylons in heavy wind Ill use a 1/4 ounce jighead with a 2.5" Slab Magnet. The heavier Jighead gives you more lateral control decreasing the distance in which your jig will drift especially in deep water. Also with a low flying cast and the heavier weight you can still get long casts without your horizontal accuracy deviating much due to wind conditions. Wind will also push bigger schools of shad in so they won't mind the bigger profile ive caught plenty of dinks on 2.5" Slab Magnets ive even caught some 5-6 inchers on em before on em. 20-30 mph crosswinds anything less than 1/4 ounce wont cut it your jig will drift too much with the current to keep you close to the pylons which is crucial for getting the Crappie to bite, yeah lighter weight does matter in calmer conditions but when it comes to rougher conditions it dont matter, Crappie will still bite when theres 2-3 feet swells thats a common misconception in Crappie fishing they aint gonna bite a tiny plastic on a 1/4 ounce it just looks too unnatural thats where the slab magnet comes in it fits a 1/4 ounce jighead perfectly.

I've had good success with big crappie and bass both on the Joker, but I caught my PB on a 110 Berkley J-Walker. Thanks for the tip. Sometimes, on the Jokers, I will tear off a tail or two.
