I've watched it back in 2016, but first played it in 2020 on my shite laptop.

I played it in 2018 or 2019 in prep for Eternal. Both of these games are 2 of the best shooters ever made.

Knowing what we know now, is the guy that says "he's here" the dark lord?

it's also implied that the dark lord of the fourth age is the Spider Mastermind herself

I had only played the original Doom once or twice. I thought it was fun, but never really got so much into the Doom franchise. It was only a couple months after Doom 2016’s release that I decided to try it out. Needless to say I fell in love with the game and got so deep into the franchise and story. Everything about the combat, the gore, the intensity of it. Just made it amazing and made me feel like a god. Doom 2016 is still one of my favorite games to this day, and it’s still just as fun as I remember it. Then Eternal came around and, in my opinion, made the whole franchise even better.

It is so weird seeing you attack the Mancubi and not hear the ping sound of their arm cannons being blown off.

Haven’t seen this dudes videos in months. First thing right off the bat is I notice Rip & Tear Gaming is at like 30k subs instead of a few hundred. Man does time fly.

DooM Eternal does have easter eggs and secrets. I think DooM 2016 is more DooM than eternal, in Eternal they took away a lot of what made the game a horror genre, and taking that away is one of the key things that set DooM apart from all the other fps
@yosemie71343 жыл бұрын
If you knew what doom is you would know that doom isn’t a horror game. It’s a action horror at best, DooM is supposed to be fast paced, big guns, moving fast, juggling ammo, equipment and knowing the most effective combo for each demon. Does not sound like horror

I remember how I loved Doom 2016, it was awesome and still, the chainsaw animation is better than eternal, but glory kills are not rewarding and too risky, also its annoying how you can die suddenly in 2016. Anyway, I missed my UN run, while on Eternal I did it twice for the base campaign and DLCs. I will replay it and read the Codex again from 2016 to TAG2.

What are you guys thoughts on having monsters from Japanese Mythology in the Doom Universe? Such as the Oni, Kappa, and Gashadokoro. They seem like an odd but good fit in my opinion.
@susumunakoshifan53453 жыл бұрын
i think it’s a great fit. japanese mythology has such strange monsters which could really mix up the way a player deals with their gameplay

I got the the idea from Hellboy: Sword of Storms. Also, I like the idea of a kitsune tagging along with Doomslayer kinda like Mando and Grogu

Well since we are pretty much going into the ‘cosmic’ part of Doom in future games, I believe they are a perfect fit.

Man, y'know... At the beginning of 2020, I got a new PC and decided to catch up to basically a decade of games I missed due to my terrible laptop I had before that. I finished 2016 and Eternal on the same year and I'd say they were the most fun titles I had the pleasure of playing this year. Unfortunately, since these weren't the only games I had to catch up with, I couldn't really spend more time with Eternal after finishing the campaign... As embarassing as that sounds, I'm nowhere near as skilled as most Eternal players. Still, I'm really happy I got to play them both and they certainly affected the way I play video games now.

Doom eternal definitely has keys, it's a much bigger aspect of the level design than it was in 2016.

Any ideas on how to make Doom 2016 more replayable? I played it a ton some years ago, and every now and then I feel tempted to go pick it back up because of it's unique feeling, but the experience feels a little bit too samey for my taste. Got any recommendations for making it a more varied experience? (Talking about the main campaign, I know snapmap spices things up a bit, but I really wanna be able to have as much fun in the main game as I once did)
@yosemie71343 жыл бұрын
On PC mods. But there is an option for both platforms. Brawler mode. Under the Mayo made this mode and you can check out his rules, basically it’s just doom 2016 but it’s much more challenging and intense. Play this mode on nightmare and test yourself for ultra nightmare as well. Try using different combos on different enemies and see which one is the most effective. I’m sure at least one of these you haven’t done before so those are my recommendations
@anophelesmaculipennis97053 жыл бұрын
@@yosemie7134 I appreciate the answer! Yeah I've been following Mayo for some time now, but I don't know why I never thought of trying Brawler Mode out. Now that you recommend it, I'll give it a try.

Try playing through the game with challenges such as shotgun only or no upgrades (argent cells, praetor tokens, weapon mods etc). but I wouldnt recommend a challenge that makes the fights too long as i did a no-gun playthrough and it got really boring at the end as fights would take 20mins+ and the spider mastermind took me over 1 hour to kill her without dying once. Another good challenge is the no glory kill nightmare challenge - harder than it sounds!
