You are so blessed that your babies tails aren’t inverted like my Elise’. We have to be extremely careful not to leave moisture in her tail pocket. When we first got her, the breeder never us about her pocket, so about a month later she got very ill, had to place her on antibiotics. Her tail pocket was infected from moisture buildup. She’s 18 months now, and we have to detail her like a car, but she’s worth it

I have to get in the tub with mine, i even then it's a struggle. She is too strong and I'm too old. I feel like the Tin Man in Wizard of Oz. "Oil Can". Oil can what? Her skin is so sensitive, and I had to give up all my lovely scented lotions. She has a nose that can smell Mars. She gets brushed with a dry shampoo my vet put together and does great. I no longer have to MMA in the bath with a Border Collie / Golden Retriever mix. She can smell if I've tried to sneak a lolly for myself while she's over half an acre away. Every time, within 90 seconds she shows up for hers. And Popsicles. She's 16 though you wouldn't guess it. Her zoomies are less frequent and i had to get stairs for her to climb into my bed. And for food it's eggs and hamburger along with kibble and canned food. I got a call the night she was to be euthanized, asking me to take her in. I had 2 big dogs already and was mid-divorce from my ex sociopath. But, what no one knew was that it was my birthday. The universe has always brought my dogs to me. I've had at least one dog in my life since 1994. A total of 4, blessedly healthy and long lived dogs who have, for 30 years been the center of my universe. Anyway, Daisy gets steak on my birthday since i can't digest solid food. Instead I take great pleasure in watching her eat hers and bury the bones in her blankets. 🎉
